Listener comments!

  9:04am r i s k y:

Morning Liz. Lovely Lovely.
  9:05am Dead Corporate Eyes:

hi Liz. It's Dyngus Day, you know.
  9:07am Darren:

Oh my, this Wissem & Jarmusch track is LOVELY.
  9:07am Jay/London:

this is so peaceful i have to go out soon hope to be back before the end of the show
  9:10am Cheri Pi:

G'morning Li & all; I'm eating marzipan bunnies & chicks for breakfast.
  9:12am Lucas:

Buenos dias Liz! Hola risky, Dead Corporate Eyes, Darren, Jay/London, Cheri Pi
  9:13am still b/p:

Didn't know dyngus or details --
"It was custom to throw water and hit the girls on their legs with twigs or pussy willows. Cologne was used instead of water by the more gallant lads. The ladies would reciprocate by throwing dishes & crockery and Tuesday was their day of revenge, imitating the same tactics."
  9:15am Dead Corporate Eyes:

crazy...Cheri that's NOT a healthy breakfast!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17am Liz B.:

Hi everybody, great to see you all here! Dyngus + sugary breakfast = crazy Monday antics!
  9:18am Cheri Pi:

I know DCE-and I hardly ever eat sugar; look out world@!
  9:18am Sam:

So what is a healthy breakfast - cologne infused pussy willow on your thigh?
  9:19am André:

I'm eating rabbit for lunch.
  9:23am Braveness23:

Oh no! A hopped up Cheri Pi! Lookout world, you've been warned!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28am Liz B.:

I admit I have a problem controlling myself when it comes to reese's peanut butter eggs. I could eat 'em for breakfast, lunch, and dinner day in and day out.
  9:31am Steaknet:

Hi Liz! what's up? Did you get rid of your stalker fan?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:34am Liz B.:

Hi Steaknet! I found out that with these fancy new phones, the phone company can't block numbers, so I just assigned a silent ringtone to my phone stalker so now he won't wake me up. He has only called/texted 2 or 3 times since last week, so perhaps he's given up.
  9:34am Lucas:

@Liz: i have no tried that one yet
  9:37am BSI:

What's the haps?
  9:37am Skirkie:

I love that Resse's changed the shape of the egg to a tree or pumpkin depending on the holiday and then finally went, "You know what? Here's a giant peanut butter cup. Same thing."
  9:38am Parq:

Splendid music this AM, Miz Liz. Can't think of anything that would more make Monday bearable.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42am Liz B.:

It's like they are taunting me year-round, Skirkie! Hey Parq, thanks for the nice words. This Monday thing just never gets easier!
  9:45am Matthew 26:39:

"..if it be possible, let this peanut butter cup pass from me."
  9:50am northguineahills:

Isn't Tleilaxu from Philly? I think I remember him being part of that old Flowchart axis.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52am Liz B.:

According to the FMA, Tleilaxu is in L.A., but perhaps he recently relocated:
  9:54am Andrew Waterloo:

Good morning, any Easter candy hang-overs?
  9:55am northguineahills:

ahhh, would make sense, as Sean O'Neal (Flowchart) relocated to Berlin after he started producing techno. It's been about 10 years since I've seen Tleixaxu.
  9:56am BSI:

  9:57am northguineahills:

Haven't heard this Big Blood. Nice!
  10:08am Cecile:

I am having a hard boiled egg and cheddar cheese sammich. Yum.
  10:09am dc pat:

whoa. bbigpigg is 100% right on.
  10:10am Mike East:

Serious overstock of hard boiled eggs at my house. Methinks some egg salad is necessary to go through them all.
  10:11am Cecile:

They revamped Cadbury eggs. Instead of mimicking raw eggs with their fondant, now they mimick soft-boiled eggs. Still tasty, maybe tastier, but I miss the ooze.
  10:11am Cecile:

Ooh, I made macaroni salad with shrimp, lemon, peas and rosemary yesterday. Twas yummy.
  10:12am tim from champaign:

I went to see The Hunger Games this weekend. It was a really confusing plot because there weren't any teen vampires in love in it.
  10:13am Mike East:

that sounds awesome Cecile. I've got a ton of rosemary left from what I didn't use for the ham. I'll probably use it for whatever soup I make from the ham bone. Dill usually goes into my egg salad.
  10:15am Cecile:

hah, tim.
Lenny Kravitz looked good in it. Maybe if he becomes a famous actor he will stop making music.
  10:16am glenn:

  10:16am still b/p:

I brought crazy beans and some black rice to a family gathering. I thought black rice would have great power. It tastes like....rice.
  10:18am BSI:

I've been so blissfully ignorant of everything... Folks mentioning something called "Hunger Games," didn't know if it was a film, TV show, video game, or some wacky iphone app.
  10:18am tim from champaign:

One can only hope, Cecile. What's your take on the Johnny Depp "dracula goes to the 70s" or "Abe Lincoln - Vampire Slayer" movies? I saw previews for them at the Hunger Games.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am Liz B.:

Whoa, thanks for the report on the "new" cadbury egg, Cecile... never thought they would change the recipe. It is kind of a gross concept, eating a raw egg that is made out of syrupy sugary goo...
  10:22am glenn:

mmmmmmm, goo.
  10:22am northguineahills:

Is it me, or does the Hunger Games look like it borrowed heavily from Battle Royale?
  10:22am Cecile:

I don't know, tim. It looks kind of hilarious.
But then again in terms of revisionist Lincolns, it's going to be hard to top the Electric Six's Gay Bar video.
  10:23am Cecile:

yes, Battle Royale, Rollerball, Most Dangerous Game, Running Man....
  10:24am Cecile:

but its twist has really captivated people. I was reading about the books, and the first one was a huge hit just in its galley form!
  10:27am Cheri Pi:

Yes, Brother JT.
  10:28am Cecile:

man this sounds like the Guess Who playing, er, the Who.
  10:29am Cecile:

liz b, gross but fun. One of the few things that are that way in my world.
  10:31am glenn:

  10:33am Cecile:

that link is making my computer unhappy.
I hope it isn't trashing Canada's finest, the Guess Who. :/
  10:35am fred von helsing:

this song goes to 11
  10:37am still b/p:

Ha. More hashing and mashing up than trashing.
  10:37am glenn:

what b/p said.
  10:40am André:

This Carlton Melton is amazing.
  10:42am Cheri Pi:

I heart Carlton Melton.
  10:55am BSI:

What everybody said.
  11:09am fred von helsing:

an intentional parody of lou reed? or, who came first?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:11am Liz B.:

I think it's just good old fashioned VU worship. 39 Clocks were around in the early '80s.
  11:11am still b/p:

...like Lou Reed covering Remake/Remodel.
  11:12am Andrew Waterloo:

I'm really enjoying this VU worship
  11:17am fred von helsing:

  11:28am joe:

'ello folks
  11:30am tinaun:

ugh. finally got my internet to work.

hello all.
  11:31am joe:

Where is Little Field. I have to take my wife in to see The Ting Tings tomorrow and I have been trying to find something to do while she is there.
  11:31am Dead Corporate Eyes:

why does Monday always have to feel like a triage unit at work???
  11:34am fred von helsing:

work? on dyngus day? perish the thought
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am Liz B.:

Littlefield is in Park Slope/Gowanus Brooklyn.
  11:34am Dr. Bangle:

Just another medic monday, ohhoohohh..
  11:37am fred von helsing:

almost sounds like supercute is covering
  11:37am Tom L.:

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. And don't hate me because I was lucky enough to get tickets to Krafterk at MOMA. (25 tabs open on four different IP addresses).
  11:38am Tom L.:

"Only" one night though.
  11:38am Cecile:

My friend goo makes yummy yummy yummy seem like friggin' Leonard Cohen.
  11:39am College Radio:

don't knock it until you tried.
Also, we're the only place that will play you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:43am Liz B.:

Tom L., you're right, we shouldn't hate the player, we should hate the game.
  11:43am dc pat:

Dead People = great name; Feel the Light = great tune.
  11:47am Tom L.:

It was a totally messed up way to obtain the tickets. But I guess since they are playing at such a small venue (which, for a group as popular as Kraftwerk, is also pretty messed up) it was better than sleeping on the sidewalk overnight. Or maybe not. My bet is they'll return to the US before long to play a proper tour at a proper venue. I sound so optimistic, don't I?? ;)
  11:49am joe:

@ Tom L :p
  11:49am Ken From Hyde Park:

I just received my WFMU bumper sticker in the mail. Thanks for sending that out.
  11:50am joe:

What night did you get?
  11:56am Lucas:

Hey Liz are you coming to primavera this year?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am Liz B.:

Hi Lucas, I'll be there!
  11:59am Lucas:

Oh great!! maybe i'll be going with a friend. One of my first must do is to pass and say hello to WFMU crew :)!!!
  12:00pm Lucas:

This la Big Vic song was great!
