  12:13pm Danne D:

You know that Amanda has hipped you to all kinds of great music. I know she turned me on to the Messthetics compilations at the last record fair. Time to show your appreciation :)
  12:13pm Doug S.:

Nice adopting, Danne D! Nice radio show Amanda N!

  12:15pm Danne D:

Psst make sure you're getting my pledge - I put an Amanda comment on it and should be obvious :)
  12:15pm EL:

  12:16pm Danne D:

@Doug S I have to adopt at the ground floor someone as awesome as Amanda - she'll be too famous soon enough and everyone will be adopting her by then :)
  12:16pm glenn:

"meet on the pledge, we're gonna meet on the pledge"

  12:20pm listener james from westwood:

i forgot to fill out the response box on my pledge, so i'll say it here: if i did everything in my life with the same amount of heart that amanda does her show, i'd be unstoppable.
my ipod is crammed w/ scenario and 100% whatever eps. incredible music and mary's show is particularly sweet during copyediting and proofreading.
  12:23pm Danne D:

LOL I've had the same Lloyd's clock radio since I think I got it as a hand me down from my brother like 30 years ago
  12:23pm Danne D:

Hooray James! :)
  12:23pm listener james from westwood:

nope, i'm actually in westwood, but i am hugely overjoyed to have won. will watch the mails!!
  12:23pm Danne D:

(you won the Jeffrey Lewis CD, James)
  12:24pm glenn:

why did i think danne was a young pup? he's an alter kocker just like me.
  12:25pm listener james from westwood:

and i too marked my radio; used white strip tape (usu. used to cover things on page proofs) to mark 91.1 while working in northvale, nj. also engaged in no small amount of antenna-positioning kabuki to pull in the signal.
  12:25pm Danne D:

lol - 'cause I act I'm like 11 on the comments
  12:27pm listener james from westwood:

the fmu pledge is the happiest check i sign/cc number i fill in on the web each year. happier than booking a flight to vegas.
  12:27pm Danne D:

This show is like a dream for the prize account grubbers :) Pledge early and pledge often.
Avatar 12:30pm Mary Wing:

Hi Doug! Thanks for all you do for the GtDR stream!
  12:30pm Danne D:

Super Nazz :)
Avatar 12:32pm Mary Wing:

Congrats, James! I, too, used to do the antenna dance when I lived in Brooklyn; couldn't sit in certain parts of the apartment, heh.
  12:35pm Doug S.:

It is nothing but, pleasure, Mary Wing!
  12:36pm Danne D:

So Amanda, I heard a rumor that you are singing at Hoof N Mouth this year with the fantastic Matt Five Ash and EFD as part of your backup band - true?

For the disheveled masses might I recommend pledging and getting the WFMU miracle soap?

it turns out that the body was a neighbourhood bartender and friend of mine. her name was jeannette hutchison. the weird and despicable thing is that it wasn't a homicide. she o'd. and the scumbags she was with put her in a rug and left her in an alleyway.
