  12:19pm
Mike East:

morning Duane and everyone! tuned in late but it sounds like lady-hour on FMU.. awesome. :)
  12:29pm
Cecile:

missed some first stuff, but hey, better some Duane than no Duane.
  12:30pm
Duane:

Hi Cecile!
  12:31pm
Cecile:

hi, Duane!
  12:31pm
Cecile:

how was the Ray Parker Jr Unsung?
I haven't seen it yet.
But if it's boring, I might pass.
  12:33pm
Duane:

Cecile: It was kinda boring, but there were some interestng anecdotes about the Raydio days. His band members were making fun of the fact that he couldn't sing. I din't know that he wrote "You make me feel like dancin" and got ripped off for publishing, credit, everything!
  12:35pm
robyn:

i am out of it today and tuned in late. hi duane!
  12:35pm
Cecile:

yeah, I heard about that. Wow, that was bogus.
  12:36pm
Duane:

cecile: yeah you could tell it still makes him wanna kill somebody!
  12:36pm
robyn:

oddly, i got a ton of sleep and did NOT drink last night. apparently, my body is unprepared for a healthy lifestyle.
  12:38pm
Duane:

robyn: haha..me too. Not one drink..I got up at 7 am and i was like "What now?
  12:38pm
Mike East:

@robyn - it takes some getting used to.
  12:40pm
Cecile:

It's funny - he got ripped off.
Then he turned around and ripped off Huey Lewis. Hrm.
  12:42pm
still b/p:

Pinch it forward.
  12:42pm
Duane:

Yeah, they talked about that, Cecile. He still claims he didn't rip him off..cuz his was a bigger hit!
  12:46pm
Cecile:

yeah, OK. *rolls eyes*

On Our Own was still a better Ghostbusters song.

Aw. Bobby Brown, what a waste.
  12:46pm
Mike East:

I don't think that argument holds up in court.
  12:47pm
Cecile:

ha, sbp. I just got that...
  12:48pm
chris contra:

duane just saying hi
  12:50pm
chris contra:

  12:51pm
Cecile:

No way.
Did you do any runway shows?
  12:52pm
Duane:

yeah a couple cecile..i'll talk about it at the next mic break:)
  12:52pm
Duane:

Chris..What is up Bro???? Let me look for the impressions..that'd be a good one!
  12:54pm
Cecile:

nice!
I'm still jelz you got to do Bottega Veneta. The craftsmanship on their accessories is unbelievable. And unaffordable.
  12:55pm
andymorphic:

so beatles
  12:56pm
Duane:

yeah Cecile..we didn't really do the music for them, the director just used our remix of "Harlem" by Bill Withers for BV...still a puzzling choice for their expensive shit!
  12:58pm
Cecile:

even the schmancy folks like to think they have a little bit of an edge to them, I guess.
  1:00pm
Cecile:

And who doesn't like Bill Withers? I don't want to know them.
  1:07pm
chris contra:

slick
  1:12pm
Jan Audun Uretsky:

Improving my Wednesday as always Duane...
  1:13pm
kat330:

  1:15pm
Duane:

  1:17pm
kat330:

  1:17pm

  1:47pm
Duane:

  1:48pm
kata:

  1:50pm
James stacheroni:

Tuned in in bushwick, sounds great! Glad we got to play together on Sat
  1:50pm

Should I be embarrassed that I knew Brandon Boyd off the top of my head?
  1:51pm
Duane:

James: Yes man! That was way too much fun!! I need the recording!
  1:55pm
Duane:

  2:05pm
Greg:

I'm a classic rock fan, so I'm really familiar with the majority of these bands. Recognized Atlantic Starr and Al Green. What's the general genre of the music?

monica:

donnie pretty much ran DC radio for the longest. BET so missed the boat on rap though, right?
  2:53pm

They kind of tried to avoid it. The only time they really played it in the 80s was on the daily afterschool show. MTV really beat them to the punch on it.
