Good morning to you and your Cream Puff War! Nice version.
  6:23am
DJ Keili:

Hey Caryn, Elwyn, Jay, Lucas, Richard, Dum Dum Guy!
ITS SINGLES GOING STEADY WEEK
  6:25am
Jay/ London:

Mary did some backwards this morning are you going to do any ?
  6:27am
Elwyn:

Can we have Boyfriend Application played forward on the left channel and backward on the right channel at the same time?
  6:28am
DJ Keili:

Boyfriend Application is totally the target of singles going steady today
  6:29am
Jay/ London:

yeah Elwyn i second that :)
  6:34am
Jay/ London:

love this wfmu mix
  6:35am
Caryn:

After the Boyfriend Application discussion, it makes it seem like this is a list of the current applicants :)
  6:40am
JC:

Christmas music?! I'm out! jk
  6:44am
Lucas:

@Elwyn: good idea!
  6:46am
JC:

Awesome 5 second glitch-drone cut, who's the artist?!
  6:47am
Lucas:

@JC: is the emergency alert system
  6:48am
JC:

Cool, what label? Never heard of them.
  6:51am
Lucas:

@JC: Actually... I don't know :(. Keili shall know
  6:52am
JC:

Just joking Lucas, too much sleep. What's for breakfast?
  6:54am
Lucas:

@JC: Me joking too :)! For breakfats, coffe and multivitamin juice
  6:57am
Caryn:

Breakfast here was a yoghurt and some juice. Moved on to popcorn now. From Sioux City, Iowa, apparently.
  6:57am
Lucas:

@Elwyn: http://imgur.com/gallery/Ks2Xi
  6:59am
Elwyn:

@Lucas: I wish I had a big gun. Another WFMU listener, Chuck, is making me a big gun.
  7:01am
JC:

ARGH! Christmas music bed... I'm getting up on the ledge as I type.
  7:03am
Caryn:

Oh, JC. Based on your initials, you're just pissed X-mas has gotten so commercial and Santa has taken over from you as the focus...
  7:05am
Elwyn:

This is the most awesome cover.
  7:06am
fred:

Good morning/afternoon everybody!
  7:06am
JC:

WWJCD? Listen to Beastin' with a Satan hat, er, Santa hat over his Jack-o-lantern Head mask!
  7:08am
Jay/ London:

this is a great version little sister yay
  7:08am
Elwyn:

What's everyone's opinions on VH1 Storytellers? I've never watched it. Does the quality vary between artists depending on how much they want to reveal about their songs?
  7:08am
Caryn:

Know a couple who had this as their wedding march... Not the Idol version, of course.
  7:09am
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

I once wrote White Wedding in my sleep. The next day I went to the record store and saw that Billy Idol had already released the single. I hadn't noticed him in my dream. I wonder how he knew?
  7:10am
Jay/ London:

@ Elwyn it is always worth a look never know what might happen
  7:10am
Caryn:

@Elwyn: can't really tell, because I tend to only watch the ones with artists I like, and they've tended to be forthcoming.
  7:11am
JC:

VH1 is still on the air?
  7:11am
Lucas:

@Elwyn: Is great!! is a huge gun!
  7:13am
Caryn:

@JC: yep, it is. But I'm shocked whenever you can actually find some music on it. Reality shows and documentaries have taken over (like on MTV).
  7:14am
Lucas:

@fred: Hello fred!
  7:16am
JC:

Yeah, that's why we listen to KDH!
  7:17am
Elwyn:

Hey fred!

Didn't notice you there because I was so wrapped up in the music!
  7:17am
Jay/ London:

VH1 has a good site you can watch clips on it
  7:17am
DJ Keili:

:D
  7:18am
fred:

Hi Lucas! I stopped trying to make up my mind about next Saturday. I'll probably go to Paris and decide where I'm going at the last minute. Both gigs look great, I hate having to miss one
  7:18am
DJ Keili:

So much cue-in' that I'm missing all the playlist chat fun!
Did you guyses like the Ken Pronouncing Things segment?
  7:18am
Bob in DC and/or VA:

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr! A chilly good morning, Keili and DJ Mama and all the Beastians in Europea and elsewhere!
  7:19am
DJ Keili:

Hi Bob!
  7:19am
Jay/ London:

ken yay
  7:20am
Bob in DC and/or VA:

Yes, Ken Pronouncing Things is an instant classic. It should totally become a thing. Maybe alternate it with Ken Being Airlifted in a Lawn Chair With Balloons.
  7:20am
fred:

Hi Elwyn! I missed one hour because we switched out of DST and I didn't know that until I saw the show had started.
  7:21am
Caryn:

@Keili: liked it! Are we gonna hear more today or is it gonna be a once-a-week thing?
  7:22am
DJ Keili:

once a week! yay!
  7:26am
Parq:

God in heaven, what am I doing up at this hour? Getting ready for a 9 AM shift at the Record Fair, that's what. Hope to see lots of people come out today.
  7:27am
Elwyn:

@Parq: If you find any Husker Du singles, can you pick them up for me? I still regret that I was short on cash during last year's WFMU Auction and they had all those HD singles.
  7:28am
Lucas:

@Parq: Was it good yestarday?
  7:28am
DJ Keili:

Hi Parq!!
Woo Record Fair!
I'm gonna be spinnin the wheel starting at 3pm today over there!
  7:29am
Danne D:

Yay :)
Hi Keili :)
Hi everyone :)
  7:30am
DJ Keili:

DANNEDANNEDANNED
  7:34am
Elwyn:

Hey Danne D!
  7:35am
Caryn:

Hi Danne D!
  7:35am
Parq:

Lucas, I had a blast yesterday. Turnout was strong, I found like seven discs I wanted inside 10 minutes at the FMU table, the screenings in the AV Room were engrossing, and the Black Hollies played the best live set I've ever heard at a Record Fair.
  7:36am
Parq:

Danne, haven't seen you set at the Fair, 'spect I will today, yeh?
  7:36am
Danne D:

Hi Stormtrooper Elwyn :) Hi Caryn :) Hey Parq ")
  7:37am
Danne D:

:( I hope so Parq. 50/50 shot :( very inconvenient time of year for me :(
  7:38am
Danne D:

if I go I won't be there more than an hour and it'd be first shot
  7:39am
Parq:

Well, Danne, if I don't get to see you until 'Thon, I'll just have to make do with catching you on the playlists.
  7:41am
Danne D:

yeah :(
can't wait til marathon time :) the snow will be more ending than beginning :)
  7:43am
Parq:

Hey, did anybody see Joe Frank Friday night? I'll bet it was, as Michael Shelley would put it, amazing.
  7:45am
fred:

Going to the record fair is #1 on my vacation wish list. It's been there for years, which shows how good I am at this
  7:46am
Lucas:

@fred: good idea. I think i'm going to I.CH on thursday and to Oso's concert on friday.
  7:48am
Lisa:

Hi Everyone! This is the very last week of the silent fundraiser and DJ K is almost at her goal. Can we squeeze out a few more pledges and get her to the end?
  7:49am
Danne D:

her fred and lucas:) and all i've yet to say hi too
  7:49am
Lisa:

Fred - you have been so loyal and good to the station, they should fly you in and put you up during the record fair next year.
  7:50am
fred:

@lucas: where's that thursday gig? And thanks for the Kronos/Steve Reich alert, I hadn't noticed it, I got my ticket yesterday. They seem to be going fast though, if you want to go you'd better not wait too much
  7:52am
Lisa:

http://youtu.be/mF1-F4ZnPWM
Here's a link to video I took of EULA recording the live session that's about to air.
  7:55am
fred:

@Lisa: Ken has actually offered to let me stay at his place in the past. But this is a hectic time at work, so I can't take time off. I think the only way to solve that time/money conundrum is to go back to the corporate world.
  7:56am
Zax:

Hello everyone. Hey Fred! I hope you'll be back in time to meet in Paris next week.
  7:56am
JC:

Christmas bed!!! I'm gonna jump!
  7:56am
Lucas:

Hello Danne D!
@Fred: Or maybe i'm talkin about friday and saturday gigs. I refer to Damien Schulz and then Oso's gig
  7:58am
Danne D:

i love sleigh ride :)
hate snow :(
  7:59am
Jay/ London:

@ JC do you live on the ground floor
  8:01am
Lucas:

@Keili: sobre mi cadaver, say that please!!
  8:02am
fred:

@lucas: Damien's gig is Friday. There's also Eugene Chadbourne on Wednesday, which could be fun. You should consider getting that card at Instants Chavirés. It's €20, but you get €4 off admission for a year
  8:02am
Lucas:

FAJITA!!!
  8:03am
Caryn:

Next week, Ken introduces a new segment: Keili Pronouncing Things.
  8:04am
Lucas:

@fred: uhmmm yeah, that seems clever to me
  8:06am
Lucas:

FRIJOLITO!!
  8:08am
fred:

@lucas: it takes me about a month to get even on that deal, then again I'm almost always there. BTW, I saw my 150th gig of the year yesterday, I wasn't that far off in my estimate.
  8:15am
JC:

@ Jay- It's a lonnng way down. Splat. I'm okay, for now.
  8:19am
Jay/ London:

@ JC i live on the 14th floor and am with you with the xmas music
  8:20am
fred:

@lucas: when/where is that High Places gig?
  8:20am
tombom:

is that description of the show an actual quote? haha

hi btw
  8:22am
DJ Keili:

HI TOMBOM
Yeah it is. My first bad review, as a comment on a blog dissing Tom Scharpling, calling his show the worst show.
  8:23am
JC:

@ Jay- Too much nonsense, indeed. Look forward to 2 January.
  8:24am
Lucas:

@fred: is the 30th at Batofar, 11,80E
  8:25am
JC:

KDH, you rode your bicicleta in the snow?
  8:25am
Lucas:

@fred: november
  8:28am
JC:

Make it stop!
  8:29am
Lucas:

@JC: stop what? i can help you but you need tell me
  8:31am
Caryn:

Ok, JC, show us on this doll where Santa touched you.
  8:31am
fred:

@lucas: Shit, I knew that date rang a bell: a guy I know is having Chevreuil @IC that day. Another scheduling conflict... I'll probably go with High Places though, their set on this show was that great.
  8:31am
Danne D:

tombom :)
  8:32am
JC:

Ha, @ Caryn, I LOVE Xmas tunes on 12/24 &... 12/24. \m/
  8:34am
Lucas:

@fred: Yes i'm going too!!
  8:34am
fred:

Speaking of great sets on this show: is EULA touring my forsaken place in the more-or-less near future?
  8:34am
Zax:

@Fred: don't want to add yet another schedule conflict, but there's also this coming up: http://festivalspectrum21.orgfree.com/Concerts_in_Paris_.html
- I know I'll be there
  8:35am
Caryn:

@JC: maybe you should consider X-mas in Scandinavia one day. Most of our X-mas songs are about darkness, ice, dead babies reincarnated as sparrows, other babies being lost in snow banks and forgotten, etc. Might make things more bearable for you.
  8:35am
Danne D:

:( I didn't win Powerball :( less money to spend on FMU :(
  8:36am
JC:

Minor THREAT! JC in DC approves.
  8:36am
Elwyn:

The stormtroopers wore white and they were the good guys. :-)
  8:37am
JC:

Caryn, sounds lovely, now get rid of the snow. Yeah, I'm a pain.
  8:38am
Danne D:

lol :) the Stormtroopers were good guys, Elwyn? :)

Heh - I think you're the only good guy stormtrooper ;)
  8:39am
fred:

@Zax: Aaargh! There's Negativland next door that same day. But I probably waited too long to get a ticket for that, so I might show up at St Merry, I'll try to figure out whether I can do both somehow
  8:40am
Caryn:

Well, in episode 2 and the start of 3 you could consider the stormtroopers good guys. It goes down the hill after that, though.
  8:41am
Lucas:

@fred & Zax: wao! Negtaivlland! I love Scelsi's work!
  8:41am
Danne D:

I have to check out from the message boards - have to assess the situation outside and then decide if I'm going to the rec fair for the 1st hour. Thanks for a great show Keili :) Keep Beastin' Everyone :)

Oh and pledge pledge pledge!!! get Keili to 100% :)
  8:42am
Danne D:

lol Caryn :)
Now I gotta go :) bye everyone :D
  8:42am
Elwyn:

But the stormtroopers were fighting for order and peace in the galaxy. The Rebels were terrorists. :-)
  8:43am
Elwyn:

@Keili: Stop killing the turntables. It's suspicious how they are all dying during your watch.
  8:44am
DJ Keili:

Don't blame me! Blame Singles Going Steady madness!
  8:44am
Caryn:

The funny thing is, if fate hadn't stepped in, Luke would've ended up a Stormtrooper. He desperately wanted to go to the Academy, which was an Imperial school training their soldiers. In retrospect, I think Luke was grateful Uncle Owen kept him from going there.
  8:46am
Lisa:

DJ K only needs $84.96 to reach her goal this week and for the whole silent fundraiser! Can anyone help her reach her goal? You know what happens to poor DJs who don't meet their goals.... The stench from the station basement is enough to stifle any brave soul.
  8:47am
Lisa:

Maybe 4 people could pledge 21.71
  8:49am
Caryn:

Hah! 100 % reached! Congrats, Keili!
  8:50am
Lisa:

WOOHOOO! WE DID IT! WE DID IT! YAAAAAY! Now the station can buy some working turntables! Thank you!
  8:50am
Bas, NL:

Thanks for the maths Lisa ;D
  8:50am
DJ Keili:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THANKS GUYS I LOVE YOU
  8:51am
Lisa:

That first photo on the playlist page is our little yard at 3:30 this morning, as we were leaving for the station.
  8:51am
Danne D:

Bas comes through again :)
  8:51am
Elwyn:

Keili also needs to up that pledge goal to replace those turn-tables. :-)
  8:52am
Lisa:

@Bas- I never was good at Math. Spent too much time passing notes with my friend Dianne.
  8:52am
fred:

Bas just rules
  8:53am
Lisa:

I'm glad someone knows the math...
  8:54am
Bas, NL:

@ Lisa Ha, ha! Your maths works when it counts!
Hiya all you great people! And a hug to my #1 DJ!
  8:54am
Lisa:

You see that propain tank on the left of the photo? That's the bbq I use as an oven. I bake bread and cakes in that thing. They come out so much better than a conventional oven.
To the right is DJK's hipster bike. Picture her riding it with some fresh fruit and baguette in the basket! hahaha
  8:55am
Lisa:

My spelling as well. Propane.
  8:56am
Caryn:

Well, if someone ever has an accident with propane, they'll be in propain, I suppose.
  8:57am
Lisa:

haha.
  8:57am
Lucas:

@Zax: is that concert in St Merry free?
  8:58am
Bob in DC/VA:

Yay for Keili making her goal!
  8:58am
Caryn:

That joke was brought to you by puns, the lowest form of comedy. Although I think limericks are lower. As is whatever happens on "2 and a half men".
  9:00am
Lucas:

Hey how is 2,5 men without Sheen?
  9:01am
Elwyn:

@lucas: I've only ever watched that show for the episode with Alicia Witt.
  9:01am
Caryn:

Who cares? Based on the brief ads I've seen, fart and crap jokes remain the basis of most of the comedy on that show.
  9:01am
Jay/ London:

thanks for the show you did well with just the one !
  9:02am
Bob in DC/VA:

Next week: Cassettes Going Crazy.
  9:02am
JC:

Thank You Keili! Careful riding your bicicleta in the snow. Same bat-time, same... Peace peeps.
  9:02am
Lucas:

I heard many people were dissappointed
  9:04am
Caryn:

@Elwyn: I watched the ep. with Elvis Costello and Sean Penn. Oh, and the one where Chris O'Donnell is a transsexual dating Holland Taylor was ok. But that was it.
  10:43am
Bas, NL:

Ho, ha.. BTW, that's a great B&W photo of Station Manager Ken Freedman you put up on the playlist!
