  12:09pm pierre:

Bonjour Duane !
Paris/France checking in !

good afternoon listeners
  12:10pm Duane:

hello all!!
  12:12pm BodegaMan:

I don't know the Politicians but this track is amazing.
  12:12pm BodegaMan:

I say that despite my strong reaction to the flute in the song.

There's so few songs I enjoy the flute in.
  12:13pm Duane:

BoMan:IT's a good one!
  12:16pm pierre:

@ BodegaMan: what about Jethro Tull's bourré ?
  12:25pm BodegaMan:

I really dislike jazz flute, I can think of some Astral Weeks era Van Morrison that has flute (I think) and some 70s soul records where I do like it. Jethro Tull, no can do.
  12:30pm hubba:

Hey Duane!

Usually I lurk, but I have to say this set is hitting the spot, cheers!
  12:34pm ratbone:

either i am suffering from some instant onset mental condition or the playlist/comments section is way off kilter.
  12:35pm ratbone:

i am off kilter and apologize for mistyping.. phew
  12:44pm Duane:

thanx hubba!
  1:00pm chris:

OK, so Mr. Chop is a big stud. Much like Duane! Viva CAN in all genres!
  1:04pm ?:

mike nesmith?
  1:05pm still b/p:

Was just typing same question.
  1:05pm Duane:

I thin k it is Mike N. It's a wierd test pressing of a seven inch white label i have. All the info i wrote down was written on the record in pencil
  1:07pm Cecile:

? was me
  1:07pm Duane:

what it be like cecile?
  1:08pm Cecile:

Yes, it's Mike N.
  1:08pm powiva:

this brings me there
  1:09pm Cecile:

solid, Duane my man.
  1:09pm Julian:

sounds like outcast paid tribute to this song
  1:10pm Duane:

Julian: Outkast sampled it for So fresh and SO clean:)
  1:17pm Cecile:

Leon Sylvers was like 10 when he arranged this, right?
  1:19pm Duane:

Cecile: Hahaha ..16! whuich makes it not impressive at all:)
  1:22pm Cecile:

Yeah, he was washed up. LOLOLOL!
He's pretty amazing.
  1:23pm Joe Text:

Huh? What? Somebody looking for me?
  1:23pm Joe Dirt:

No more so than anyone is looking for me.
  1:24pm Texas Joe:

All y'all just shut-up!
  1:25pm Mike:

i'll take the tix!!
  1:26pm Dave:

i would like me some Funk
  1:28pm Duane:

Sorry Mike and Dave:( Cortney called and barely beat ya!
  1:30pm Mike:

i'll never listen to this station again, i swear on my first born
  1:31pm Duane:

Mike: Awwwww
  1:31pm Cecile:

what year was this Eli's Coming cover recorded?
  1:33pm Duane:

  1:36pm Cecile:

weirdly, it kind of reminded me of Barbara Streisand records from that period.
  1:37pm Cecile:

wow, this is the best Raydio song I've ever heard. I've never heard that one before.
  1:38pm Duane:

cecille: Yeah. It kind sounds like early phoenix
  1:39pm Cecile:

I always liked Raydio - it seems ironic to me that Parker was busted on plagiarism when Raydio didn't sound like any funk out there at the time in its prime.
  1:41pm Duane:

Cecile: To be honest, most of his biggest hits sounded like other tunes. "More thanone way" sounds like "More than a woman" actually..HA!
  1:44pm Cecile:

Really, I don't hear that.
Hrm. Maybe I just have rose-colored glasses on cause I found his stuff refreshingly underrarranged for the time. SOOOOO many goopy strings. Insecure hatas prolly killed disco, but them strings didn't help.
  1:46pm Cecile:

this string arrangement we just heard was lovely, though.
  2:09pm G:

Great band!
  2:16pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Hi Duane, just made it back to catch the the last 45min
  2:17pm Duane:

Hi Jan! Thanx for listening today. Stepkids sound great!
  2:20pm Marmalade Kitty:

Baby Duane, this is the smooothest show ever!
  2:21pm fishmonkeystew:

Just tuned in. Is this the Stepkids from CT? I just heard these guys on WHUS (UConn Radio Station, Storrs, CT) earlier this week. They rock!
  2:23pm Duane:

Thanx MK:)
fms: Stepkids say thanks!!
  2:26pm Cecile:

very cool live set.
  2:32pm Um:

  2:33pm Duane:

  2:33pm Um:

  2:35pm Cecile:

Love that song - best "I hate fresh air" song since Foghat's Fool for the City.
  2:38pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Ah... Evie Sands! Chips Taylor!
  2:38pm still b/p:

Flute! Bodega Man duck and cover!
  2:41pm BodegaMan:

Damn it snuck in on me and I didn't notice. This set has been soooooo good.
  2:58pm Cecile:

miercoles gigante!
  2:59pm still b/p:

Tonight we ski? Tonight whiskey? The post-lunch portion of the show I caught has been great!
  3:01pm Kat:
