Listener comments!

  12:10am
Quentin Quad:

One of my favorite song titles. Nice.
  12:33am
Andrew:

hi Sue & Quentin.
I like this Chain Link song
  12:41am
Quentin Quad:

This Modra track is dope but the googles are only bringing me results regarding a movie from last year and a city in Slovakia. The lack of a track title, record label, and even album name doesn't help. Any additional info Sue?
  12:45am
Andrew:

There was an AFL footballer named Tony Modra too. hmm...I tried modra mp3 & it brought up some, but I think they were indian songs.
oh, maybe this? http://www.myspace.com/modrametal
i typed in modra myspace, cos a lot of bands have a myspace page
  12:45am
SueP:

MODRA seems to be Pink Reason related. And, yeah, sadly, no internet presence!
  12:49am
SueP:

The myspace listed above is for a Danish band of the same name.
  12:55am
jaycjay:

Pink Reason-related, really? New to me, but I'll PR's Kevin a text and see if he wants to share anything.
  12:56am
SueP:

oooo...i loves me insider information!
  1:05am
DJKurtG:

what's all this noise then?
  1:06am
Andrew:

that's annoying when 2 or more bands have the same name. My friend & I were talking about it weeks ago & he didn't believe that you could do that, like there would be some sort of copyright on a band name & you'd have to name your band something else.
Seems sometimes bands have to change, and sometimes not?
It's like when The Angels went to the US, they had to rename to Angel City, cos there was already a band there called The Angels (or maybe even just Angel)
  1:12am
DJKurtG:

carrion?
  1:17am
Rory:

Profound Lore keeps pumping out the gems.
  1:18am
jaycjay:

I know, it's like when two or more people have the same name! Like at first I thought you must be my friend Andrew, because how could two people be named that? Then I realized that he wouldn't know that Angels/Angel City story so you must be someone else. I agree, man, so annoying!
  1:21am
DJKurtG:

couldja play something soothinger? ima having surgery in a morning!
  1:22am
SueP:

Ha ha. Oh, Kurt, you are in the wrong place. :P
  1:23am
Andrew:

there's probably a genre of surgery music...
  1:25am
SueP:

You are more likely to hear the band Surgery on this show than music that would soothe you in preparation for surgery.
  1:31am
Andrew:

this Premonition 13 song is soothing...
  1:36am
jaycjay:

So, yes... it is accurate to say that Pink Reason and Modra are "related".
  1:39am
DJKurtG:

oh, also? i'm looking for a doctor to perform surgery on me in the morning. know anyone?
  1:41am
Rory:

Sue P. is a doctor.
  1:42am
Quentin Quad:

Not surprised. I always guessed she had an MD in "rock". PhD's are for nerds.
  1:43am
DJKurtG:

her last name isn't "sales" by chance, is it?
  1:43am
SueP:

I like nerds.....the candy and the people.
  1:46am
Andrew:

mmmm nerds, I remember they came out here when i was in grade 5 or 6 & they were huge. That was about 90 or 91...were they areound way before that in the US?
  1:47am
SueP:

Kurt - I will operate on you. You need a lobotomy?
  1:48am
SueP:

Thank you, jaycjay, for confirming Pink Reason / Modra connection!
  1:48am
DJKurtG:

really it's wisdom teeth and a vasectomy, but a lobotomy would probably cover it.
  1:50am
Rory:

you need a doctor for wisdom teeth?
  1:50am
DJKurtG:

i'm having them put in.
  1:51am
Rory:

O ok
  1:51am
SueP:

Kurt, you are on fire tonight.
  1:55am
DJKurtG:

yeah, i need a doc for that too.
  1:55am
SueP:

Andrew - I remember Nerds in the mid-80s here in the U.S.!
  2:33am
Andrew:

like these last 2 tracks. ^_^
Negative Space & Sheol
  2:38am
Rory:

Aluk Todolo!
  3:12am
Andrew:

aw missed the end, got a phonecall. Was a good show ^_^
  3:17am
Andrew:

hehe, puffy areolas ^_^

good there's archives!
  4:48pm
kevin:

Modra is Pink Reason "related" in that Michael Bray, the mastermind behind the band was guitarist for Pink Reason for a while. I also played briefly filled in on bass for the band. They are also my favorite band in NYC.
