  7:08pm Listener Dave from Seattle:

Sorry, too slow
  7:08pm Kat:

I was in the bathroom, what did I miss?
  7:08pm chris g.:

have a good show kids...as usual looking forward to your scintillating banter..
  7:09pm Listener Dave from Seattle:

Kat - hopefully not the toliet
  7:10pm Kat:

no worries
  7:12pm depressed Persian cab driver:

But this is unfair to me, as I have no Twitter and am actually hating Facebook. BTW, Stevens Point is the BEST beer town with a WU presence in my personal experience as an alcohol-consuming immigrant. Love to you both!
  7:15pm chris g.:

great music Jay...
  7:16pm depressed Persian cab driver:

oh. sorry, I mean UW. My sister went to WU.
  7:17pm Heavy D:

I'm loving the music, no idea what is going on.
  7:20pm Listener Dave from Seattle:

Firefly is one of the worst shows I have ever seen but I defend his right to put up a poster.
  7:22pm depressed Persian cab driver:

On, Wisconsin!
  7:24pm Blake:

God this bed music is so depressing it makes me want to chop my legs off and crawl into a badger hole.
  7:25pm Blake:

(In a good way)
  7:28pm depressed Persian cab driver:

Blake, did you hear the Chris T show earlier about stuff like Badger Care? You could qualify if you live in the Badger State...
  7:28pm Listener Dave from Seattle:

That is just for badgers.
  7:30pm Blake:

No I missed it, but I live in the Garden State and I am already a part of the Goldfinch Care Program.
  7:32pm Heavy D:

Can we please be referred to as brown coats.
  7:35pm Blake:

I work by Wall Street and I have to say that the Verizon guys were way louder and more annoying.
  7:37pm depressed Persian cab driver:

Please. my fares are very slow tonight. Still, I have no time to follow tweets. But I do like your show very much. I CARE, JAY, and so should everyone if they can Thunk a little.
  7:38pm disastrogirl:

Well, what IS going to work? Why is it that Americans don't get out in the street and shut shit down? Why are we so disheartened that we can't even be bothered to get out in the street for things that matter?
  7:38pm Listener Dave from Seattle:

www.thefire.org appears to be hosed. Probably too popular.
  7:41pm Ike:

@Depressed, just out of curiosity, in what city do you ply your trade?
  7:41pm jaycjay:

Police sources later explained that what he was talking about is .50-caliber machine guns that NYPD has that normally aren't in use but can be mounted on their helicopters.
  7:43pm depressed Persian cab driver:

disatrogirl- Most of us are far too lazy. More Syrians have died protesting to date than the 9-11 innocents in NYC. The difference is they are all but forgotten.
7:43pm Listener John from NJ who lives in NJ:

Q. What is the minimum number of people you need to put on a successful demonstration?
A. At least 12,006. Six people to plan and publicize the demo. One thousand to take part in the demo. Then, at least 11,000 will denounce the demo for being poorly planned, for faulty ideology, or for using the wrong tactics.
  7:44pm disastrogirl:

It's pretty obvious that they have installed alien tech from Area 51 into the antenna of the Empire State Bldg.
  7:45pm nate in madison wi:

as a sporadic activist who has often felt embarrased by some of the sillier protests, chants, etc i do want to however say that in most any loopy event like that here in madison there is a strong core of people who are doing more meaningful things off camera the rest of the year
  7:46pm Andrew:

I hear the buildings themselves are pretty good at taking down planes.
  7:47pm disastrogirl:

And that makes me sad. Americans are so cowed. They are afraid to go out and protest. "what if I get arrested? I'll lose my job." either that or there is the too ironic to give a shit mentality.
  7:48pm chris g.:

you two are like nick and nora with the wit and banter... dig it... (laughin' my Asta off)
  7:51pm Blake:

C'mon Jay don't be a prude.
  7:51pm depressed Persian cab driver:

Ike, I can't afford the "badge" to operate in Philly, where i live, so work mostly in NJ and NYC. I and so many "unemployed" Americans are in the "under the table" market. We are the working poor, at best. But that gives me freedom to hear this show sometimes and I am glad for that.
  7:51pm marc:

what make Bronwyn's ice falling from the Empire State Building story even more of a conspiracy, is that she drove into the City in August.
  7:54pm disastrogirl:

Those cheap bastards! That's the guys last meal ever!
7:54pm Listener John from NJ who lives in NJ:

Bill Clinton was the governor of Arkansas when the person on Arkansas' death row said he would save the pie in his last meal for "afterwards."
  7:55pm nate in madison wi:

on npr the cook at the prison said the guy didn't and wouldn't actually get all that food served to him and the cook offered to pay for last meals out of pocket in the future the prisons declined his offer
  7:58pm PiLA:

B: why is that guy stepping all over you .. ?
  7:58pm disastrogirl:

It's mean-spirited.
7:58pm Listener John from NJ who lives in NJ:

  7:59pm depressed Persian cab driver:

Nate, can you please qualify that Stevens Point Special is even more delicious than Leinenkugel? This is a fight in my family that requires a Wisconsin opinion, if you please...
  7:59pm disastrogirl:

Putin must have hired a new publicist
  8:00pm Dude #8:

варе́ники or Varenyky= Ukrainian
pyrogies are Polish
Pelmeni are Russian
  8:00pm nate in madison wi:

i will say it is, though in reality i can only speak for capital brewer beer out of madison
  8:00pm Blake:

Oh, you didn't get to everything?
8:00pm Listener John from NJ who lives in NJ:

The news article I read said that they guy died from eating pelmeni.
  8:04pm Listener Dave from Seattle:

  8:12pm depressed Persian cab driver:

Nate, please accept my apology. This is an argument going back 20 years and it will never be solved.
