Cecile:

This is one of the best Ali-themed songs I've heard.
  12:30pm
BSI:

@Ike: Guilty as charged. Remember the old photo in LIFE magazine of the hippie freak sticking tongues down the riot police's rifle-barrels? ..... uh, no. Me neither. Do carry on.
  12:31pm
Cecile:

it sounds like if Johny Horton was chronicling the Black Power movement instead of the War of 1812.

(I love Johnny H.)
  12:31pm
Jared:

(Baravelli and Pinky stick their tongues out.)
  12:40pm

  1:44pm
blackgreen13:

Duane:

blackgreen13: Yeah they self release all of there stuff. Thanx Parq:)
  1:45pm
Duane:

K: That's hilarious!
  1:47pm
Parq:

Incidentally, I recently read the Dave Tompkins book on the vocoder, "How To Wreck a Nice Beach", and recommend it to folks who dug that vocoder effect in disco and hiphop.
  1:48pm
Duane:

Parq: That vocoder book is great! Dave is gonna be a future guest on my show!!
  1:50pm
blackgreen13:

actually remember something like a good morning America piece on the punk scene from the early 80s that wasn't much different... 5 minutes after birth, and the baby is devoured.
  1:54pm
Parq:

Actually, BG13, my problem with those pieces has always been the opposite: you heard it here last. Dan Rather was probably the only one in New York who didn't already know everything he's saying about Studio in this segment.
  1:56pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Parq: "You heard it here last". haha. So true.
  1:57pm
blackgreen13:

@Parq: guess it depends... back when if you lived kind of out of the way your news feed was way different than if you grew up in the city
  1:57pm
