Actually, I do not do drugs nor can I even imbibe alcohol.
  9:13am still b/p:

Can I substitute bath salts for the powdered sugar on my French toast?
  9:14am pierre:

@ stil b/p : you mean "lost bread" ? ;)
  9:16am Dead Corporate Eyes:

Lost Bread...Meth Creamer...so many band names...
  9:17am pierre:

"Ashtray Navigations" 's cool name to !
  9:19am postmanpaul:

Hey Jason! Hey city slackers and officionados!

  9:27am WilD Neil:

My drug is Solid Works...things inside my mind manfest themselves on the screen, and I controll much of what happens there....unlike my life...this show ROCKS Jason, thank you!
  9:33am jason:

hey jen v, PMP, still b/p!

  9:34am pierre:

this song is weird and good, remind me of the Caretaker (< completely great album to)
  9:35am WilD Neil:

Reminds me of Eraserhead...and my old neighbor's too-loud wind chimes right outside my bedroom window...
  9:38am Dead Corporate Eyes:

thx jason, will look into it!
  9:38am jeff:

morning, jason. i'm in class, so i can only read the comments and the playlist, and imagine what everyone is hearing.
  9:40am Your instructor:

Jeff, pay attention.
  9:42am Jeff's classmate:

hé psssst,
pass this to the girl on your left…

(yeah in my head i'm in a 1960's classroom / no messages on cellphone or those hip new technology stuff…)
  9:45am jeff:

update: she made me read it to the class.
  9:46am Bad Ronald:

What's the teacher look like this year?
  9:47am Instructor:

Would you like to share that with everyone?
  9:48am WilD Neil:

Is your teacher hot? Is she a MILF?
  9:50am pierre:

"Don't Let My Girlfriend Tickle Me" seems appropriate to this thread of conversation.
Jeff (i'm your classmate from france) good luck with learning things, i find it difficult some times…
  9:52am postmanpaul:

At 8.30 am here in Britain, a BBC Radio 2 presenter invited us to... 'pick two Stonkers that we'd like to hear back to back.' Apparently, Stonkers and Gobsmackers are... 'two brilliant records that have a common link.'
  9:52am WilD Neil:

Bulgarian Folk Music maybe?
  9:53am WilD Neil:

sounds Polish....actually...or Slavic somehow...something Fox (female?)
  9:54am jeff:

is that the same WilD Neil who put a trout in the school ventilation ducts last spring?
  9:56am jeff:

PS jason, play Hot for Teacher
  9:56am WilD Neil:

I respectfully invoke the 5th ammendment, sir.
  9:56am BSI:

Teach of Immortality.
  9:56am Bad Ronald:

I don't feel tardy.
  9:57am pierre:

a moment of trout
  9:58am Cecile:

Jason if you are taking requests and playing the funk, I could use Kelis's "Caught out there". You know that goes over and over again, "I hate you so much right now!" I would like to dedicate it to the world.
  9:59am WilD Neil:

I got busted once for a fake hall pass...to the library...no kidding!
  9:59am Cecile:

yeah, lars-who-writes-about-metal. fffffffft. He started writing about jazz. It's insufferable.
  10:00am Cecile:

  10:01am world:

We give and we give and we give.....and we get only your bitter fist in return..
  10:01am Cecile:

You give me a headache.
  10:02am pierre:

bonjour Cecile.
  10:02am Cecile:

yo, pierre.
  10:03am Your lawn:

Could you do something about this crab grass in teh corner?
  10:04am Cecile:

Ha! We got anonymous hate mail about our lawn recently. It was freaky.
  10:04am world:

Today we want to give you only browstrokes and relief relief relief.
  10:05am pierre:

hate mails are always freaky, i never did one, i wouldn't know how to be serious about it. What was yours Cecile?
  10:05am Cecile:

yeah, I've heard that before.
  10:06am BSI:

@Cecile: sounds like you have literate dandelions. Go directly to blowtorch. This can get ugly.
  10:07am Nosey Neighbors:

Cutt yore goddam grass, u lazzy ass hippys!
  10:08am dc pat:

...and stop growing corn in yer front yard!!
  10:08am Cecile:

It was "I knew the people here and they kept their lawn and house meticulous, and when I drive by every day...(!!!) it's a tragedy. And they kept the blinds open. They werent' trying to hide what's going on inside (!!!!) They would be rolling in their graves."

Never mind that Neighbor Dave just moved the lawn, we've pained and pulled up ugly ass carpet, the garden's not good because my knees are toast, and it gets g'damn hot in there when the city cut down the diseased tree in the front yard. Also, we are saving up for siding. :(
  10:10am Cecile:

We were going to put up a sign that said SUCK IT or something, but now on days that I'm not grouchy, it's kind of funny.
  10:10am still b/p:

Maybe in reply you can custom-mow the lawn to spell out words...you know which words...in big letters.
  10:10am cobra dan:

My dad would leave patches of weeds around the lawn because he believed in Bio Diversity. I just mowed giant spiral circles in the lawn and called it "Lawn Art"
  10:14am Cecile:

that's a great idea sbp.
  10:15am Bad Ronald:

@ Cecile - grab some shears and get to work:

  10:15am dc pat:

or you can start growing corn in the front yard--that really pisses neighbors off
  10:16am pierre:

so many bored Neighbors apparently
  10:16am still b/p:

...Then lay down big blinds to cover the whole lawn and put hideous grass curtains in the windows, just to eff wid 'em.
  10:17am Cecile:

ha! I'll show that to my huisband. We do have a few shrubberies.

Pierre, the neighbors we see and talk to are awesome. And great characters. This sounds like one of those fangirls who doesn't like the new Doctor Who or something.
  10:18am Cecile:

*writing this down*
  10:18am WilD Neil:

Neighbors can really suck. Our good friend said her neighbors in Williamsville NY would complain their little children were too loud and that they didn't use chemicals on their yard to kill clover and other nice things...and it was "lowering their neighborhood's home values...
  10:19am Cecile:

My neighbors would think the corn is cool. They are planting gourds and pumpkins in a vacant lot. Nothing to eat, they're pretty sure there's asbestos in the soil.
  10:22am das:

question completely unrelated to Jason's show: I'm looking for some examples of well designed punk band websites, any thoughts?
  10:22am Moon in June:

"Asbestos in the soil"...Really cool name for a band!
  10:23am Cecile:

this song makes me happy.
  10:24am WilD Neil:

"Save the earth....
Save the earth...
Stop pollution..."
-Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster
  10:24am WilD Neil:

Sounds like PiL
  10:25am Cecile:

Jason, I think I'm just bitter and annoyed by any rock writer that isn't me or my friend Keith Harris. LOL! Good thing I took some time off.
  10:27am pierre:

i love good Neighbors, in gascony some of my good Neighbor said a french/gascon expression : "Mieux vaut un bon voisin qu'un mauvais cousin", "Better a good Neighbor than a bad cousin" … sounds better in french.
  10:28am Cecile:

When neighbors are good, they are like a family you choose, with no shared parental baggage.
  10:28am Moon in June:

@das Check this web for a well designed web of a band www.xxauxx.com (don't worry, it's not porn!)
  10:29am pierre:

@ Cecile : a bit like wfmu actually ^^
  10:29am Cecile:

das, I would just look at good websites, period.
Also, it's better to be a little plain but be able to find things than fancy and incomprehensible.
  10:29am Cecile:

perhaps! LOL!
  10:29am WilD Neil:

In New Mexico, my friend lived in a neighborhood where everybody was welcome to go into anyone elses house or garage, no problem, they were that mellow! Snow Houses in Alamogordo...(Snow was a builder, not an igloo!)
  10:32am das:

@Moon: not that I doubt your word, but I think I'll wait until I get home to check that one out.
@cecile: that makes too muc h sense
  10:33am Cecile:

I know.
  10:34am Cecile:

You can never go wrong with neat, black hand-writing style type or actual handwriting on a white background.
  10:35am Moon in June:

  10:35am postmanpaul:

I like that expression "Better a good Neighbor than a bad cousin", pierre, it fits nicely somewhere down the food-chain of extended family accountabilities/responsibilities.
  10:36am Cecile:

Love War, sampled or not.
  10:36am Bad Ronald:

How's this for a simple site?

  10:37am dc pat:

love the dickies
  10:37am das:

@Bad R: it brings simplicity to a whole new level!
  10:40am Richard from Venezuela:

Good morning Jason and all the listeners.
  10:42am Cecile:

Aw, nothing like the old school to cheer this codgerette up.
  10:43am WilD Neil:

Reminds me of Run DMC back in 85? Peter Piper etc...
  10:44am cobra dan:

we did grow corn in our front yard
  10:45am hubba:

mexican food hangover... good morning
  10:45am cobra dan:

Oh Jason yr killing it this morning, son.
  10:47am dc pat:

Moleque de Rua rule apparently.
  10:49am dc pat:

my friends grow vegetables in the front yard and they get no end of grief from their Chevy Chase, MD neighbors...dicks...
  10:49am WilD Neil:

This is my new fave up there with Public Enemy and Beastie Boys!!
  10:51am hubba:

Perfect song if you are standing outside in a lightning storm
  10:59am still b/p:

Projects in the front lines of yard food around the world:
Edible Estates "Attack on the Front Lawn"

The guy behind this also holds art/idea/happening salons at his geodesic dome outside LA that I'd like to attend -- if you can get in with nothing in the idea holster.
  11:05am Cecile:

that's inspiring. Maybe we can take out the shrubberies and put in some raised boxes in our front yard...
  11:06am Jennique:

Perfect song for odd neighbors is What's He Building in There by Tom Waits.
  11:07am jk:

I saw Jonathan speak last night in boston, great discussion and amazing sounds, looking forward to that interview, Jason.
  11:08am R I S K Y:

GET INTO THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11:11am dc pat:

that Noveller show should be good, I'll be there.
  11:13am Carmichael:

HI Jason, hi peoples.
  11:15am dc pat:

  11:16am WilD Neil:

  11:17am hubba:

howdy carmichael... tis thirstday, need i remind you.
  11:18am Cecile:

I just ordered a doorbell for my cube. I feel a lot better.
  11:20am still b/p:

One that triggers a giant hammer?
  11:20am hubba:

it should be one of those surprise buzzer door bells... all in good fun
  11:21am Cecile:

No, but Think Geek suggests ordering the air bazooka or the nerf missle launcher as well.
  11:22am Cecile:

I have ADHD, when I can actually contentrate, I hyper-concentrate. I need something to startle me. People have touched my shoulder to get my attention, and I've literally screamed.
  11:22am hamburger:

tuvvaannnhhiiiii ohhhhhhhwaohwaohwaohwa hiiiiiii
  11:23am hamburger:

@Cecile - that chef Heston Blumenthal has mentioned how his ADHD helps him super-focus in on stuff too / think there's an article on it somewhere
  11:23am hubba:

Does anyone rememember the name of the documentary about the blind blues person from SF who incorporated tuvan throat signing...
  11:24am Carmichael:

Yes Hubba, it is indeed Firkin Thursday. I shall participate in a grand fashion.
  11:25am Carmichael:

Oh yes, Genghis Blues, the story of Paul Pena.
  11:26am Cecile:

such a good movie. An accidental movie! I'm glad he got some exposure before he left us.
  11:26am dc pat:

killer set/show Jason. Really good rain music...
  11:26am hubba:

yes, thank you! I thought that was such a neat story
11:26am douglas in the district of columbia:

Love the cello! It's too bad Foon wasn't with GY!BE for their last tour.
  11:28am Cecile:

love the renderers.
  11:29am dc pat:

love the name
  11:30am WilD Neil:

The guy next to me found gold nuggets in the slag the refinery usually doesn't return to us! "Those Bastards!!!!!!!!
11:34am douglas in the district of columbia:

This sounds like the Dead Boys on acid.
  11:35am dc pat:

Family Curse is my new favorite group.
  11:36am Rick Perry:

I am plugged-in to today's youth music.
  11:37am dave geese:

family curse are ripping off the fall, who are always my favourite group
  11:38am mark e:

I liked that
  11:39am Saxon:

I thought we were your favorites!
  11:42am Cecile:

happy belated birthday, Sylvester!
  11:43am Carmichael:

I thought this was Dokaka at first.
  11:46am jk:

preggy peggy!
  11:46am anne:

enjoying your show, Jason!
  11:47am Cecile:

  11:49am Ron Paul:

Get out of here Perry! These good folks want someone who understands their hedonistic ways...
  11:50am Katya:

Saw "Tom Dooley" by the Sundowners pop up in player and thought I must have clicked the wrong stream. Long live freeform! Cheers to Talk's Cheap
  11:56am hubba:

Does anyone remember the SNL Saturday TV Funhouse cartoon, The New Adventures of Mr. T... the first one were T. and co. incorporate themselves into a production of A Doll's House... T. says, "sounds like work..." I believe was vocied by Tracy Morgan... anyone know a musical reference to "sounds like work?"
