Listener comments!

  9:05am Dead Corporate Eyes:

Morning, Jason...geez, I take one day off and come back to a mess on my desk...crikies.
  9:10am Cheri Pi:

Cherry Blossom spirits may be a reference to kamikaze pilots...
  9:13am Dead Corporate Eyes:

this is on my "to obtain soon" list...
  9:16am pierre:

Bonjour Jason !
  9:20am Keili:

  9:23am jason:

Bonjour Pierre, Cheri, DCE, Keili, welcome to all
  9:28am Dead Corporate Eyes:

  9:32am Richard from Venezuela:

Good morning jason and all the listeners.
  9:47am annie:

  9:48am other david:

Ah Jim O'Rourke, awesomeness :)
  9:52am countrydave:

listening and enjoying from Saskatchewan today.
  9:53am hamburger / london:

awesome-ness all round :) even that sad cross-dressing dude picture is awesome!
  9:53am Josh RVA:

Bummer I have to leave the office (and miss tunes).
  9:56am jason:

hey annie, what ship thing, you mean the moles song?
  10:05am seang:

anyone else love that recent John Wesley Coleman record?--it's been blowing my mind
  10:05am annie:

don't wait for your ship; swim...yeah i think it was the moles
  10:14am jason:

hey what's up? what do you wanna talk about?
  10:17am annie:

(i'd be talking but i'm workin' may chime in if the subject suits, but i have some concentrating to do..)
  10:18am john:

i wanna talk about this crazy Shangaan Electro - South African New Wave CD i got in my pledge swag...
  10:20am pierre:

oh i cannot really "talk" right now, but i love (the word is weak) the Shangaan electro CD/ Last week there was a evening with dancers on this CD in Paris.
  10:23am john:

yeah - it's pretty "hyphy" stuff...
  10:24am john:

also - the album artwork/cover photo is oddly weird and psychedelic...
  10:24am Carmichael:

Hi Jason and listening minds. I'm in government procurement, and today is June 30th, the end of the fiscal year. It promises to be like a Fellini movie, or maybe that 7SD where Ken and Andy talked over each other non-stop.
  10:25am jason:

  10:26am john:

  10:27am pierre:

yeah the artwork is great !
  10:29am john:

woah.. Nozinja has to clean the walls in his kitchen...
  10:30am pierre:

"Grom " is exactly the sound that my belly is doing right now
  10:39am fred:

@pierre: Your first paycheck should soon hit your account, then maybe you can sate that hunger. And come to hear my pal Thierry this sunday with Aaron Moore
  10:41am Handsome Harry:

  10:44am pierre:

that sound like a plan fred ^o^
(sunday i'm off in the suburbs all day, but i'll hit the capital before the evening, at what time is it again ?)
  10:44am fred:

Gaa! That's certainly a shocking picture. I didn't expect Blagojevich to show up here (or the Spanish inquisition for that matter)
  10:46am pierre:

  10:47am Handsome Harry:

"For The Love Of Rod" is definitely one of my favorites on the Free Music Archive. It is a keeper, sure-as-shootin'.
  10:55am Carmichael:

Nooooooobdy expects the Spanish Inquisition.
  11:04am Brian in UK:

That's easy for you to say, Carmichael. Now wouldn't Auto Da Fe be a good name for a band?
  11:05am Carmichael:

T'Would Brian, and Gay Woods thought the very same thing.
  11:05am Brian in UK:

Where are my manners. Good afternoon Jason.
  11:06am jason:

Auto Da Fe is a band http://www.secreteye.org/se/autodafe.html

oh, hi Brian! Don't mind me, talk amongst yourselves
  11:08am AnAnonymousParty:

Even in photos Rod won't look you in the eye.
  11:11am other david:

Bush Tetras <3
  11:12am Carmichael:

That's a new band. The 1st Auto Da Fe was made in the early 80s by Gay Woods, then-wife of Terry Woods of Sweeney's Men and the Pogues.
  11:12am Stevel:

Chair dancing at work. Apparently I have a soul.
  11:14am annie:

i've been experiencing the lousiest goddam internet connection.... all this goddam buffering and hesitation is driving me nuts!
  11:15am Brian in UK:

I remember reading Elias Canettis book of the same name, very dull. All about a librarian. No offense to those vital people. He won the Nobel Prize a few years later. Some of the recipients have confused me.
  11:21am yayson:

really enjoying show today, thanks for this.
  11:25am Richard from Venezuela:

  11:27am abby in france:

  11:27am Robin The Fog:

Holy crap!!! What is this amazing thing called Trenton Rap?
  11:29am jason:

http://www.cbrap.com/?p=665 dunno if the dl link still works but that's where it came from way back thanks to a tip from 14k gold slum computer wizard
  11:29am hamburger / london:

it's taken a while, but I've only just found out the jim o'rourke cover art is by Mimiyo Tomozawa :)
  11:30am Nat the Parker:

this is dope, sir. Dope beats indeed
  11:30am Robin The Fog:

Thanks Jason! Mad fresh, or whatever the parlance is...
  11:31am musikoff:

Blvd Mossie, NJ!!!!!
  11:31am Marmalade Kitty:

The Donkey on the FMA picture is so sweet :)
  11:44am Marmalade Kitty:

Hamburger, a band synonymous with yourswelf!
  11:44am Robin The Fog:

Every record on this show is kicking my ass today!
  11:45am Another DS:

Hey, was that MacDonalds from the great state of Mich?
  11:46am Donkey:

Kicking me too.
  11:49am Carmichael:

This bed music makes me want to roller skate.
  11:50am fred:

Jason, I have a question about whether a specific use of FMA content complies with the license terms. I guess there's a lawyerish side to it, but can you tell me who I should contact for a "moral gut-feeling" opinion about it?
  11:52am maja:

@annie, have you tried flash? works with my slow troubled connection the best
  11:53am jason:

fred i can point you toward some resources at least if you email me
  11:53am jason:

but first read the fma help / faq
  11:53am maja:

thanks jason bye
  11:54am Robin The Fog:

Another jolly fine show. God bless you, WFMU! What would we do without you?
  11:55am BSI:

egad. Finally got here with only 5 minutes left of cheap-talkin'...
Fate is a cruel mithtweth....
  11:56am annie:

maja, this is not a slow connection.. it is fiber optic. and we've had this issue in this building consistently.. it's very unpredictable.. and very frustrating..
  11:57am fred:

I read that, but it doesn't address the fringe case I have in mind, and contacting individual curators wouldn't be appropriate right now. I'll email you.
  11:58am #K:

cheers Jasome Seagull! fun show today, fun show
  12:00pm maja:

well so far my technical support!
  3:06pm Frank Roma:

I hope Linda and Kathy don't break Gary Wilson's heart again.
