I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Listener comments!

12:07pm yair Yona (Tel Aviv, Earth):

Yep,still here. Hey Bryce
  12:08pm jk:

thanks Bryce!
  12:09pm Cecile:

I used the magic of ju ju for my voodoo show back in the day.
  12:09pm bryce:

tel aviv, let's see...5 hours.....cool, i get to put you through a complete living hell before your real one!
  12:10pm bryce:

voodoo show??!?
  12:11pm Vicki:

All is fine here, bit windy though. Should probably tidy up a bit
  12:13pm Yair Yona (Tel Aviv):

Bryce - seven hours. btw, no one here knows what you guys are talking about with the whole doomsday thing. maybe we're bothered with other issues ?
  12:13pm Cecile:

my friend and I at CBN decided to do something "spooky" we played Santeria ceremony recordings, Captain Beefheart (Floppy Boot Stomp), Exhuma and my friend looped gospel choirs singing ominous things. Wish I had a tape of it. He even brought in scarves and candles.
  12:14pm Cecile:

I had to bail for a while to visit with my dad. I brought him down to the station, and he thought we were all smoking dope. (We weren't at the time.) LOL!
  12:15pm Vicki:

Americans never know what time it is in the rest of the world
  12:16pm still b/p:

We wish there was a tape of that, too.

Only voodoo show experience: a Sacred Arts of Haitian Vodou exhibit I saw at The American Museum of Natural History in New York years ago was small but out-freakin'-standing.
  12:17pm bryce:

the WORLD. *yawn*
  12:17pm Jean Michel Jarre & a Hobo:

Wfmu listeners are all in a single space and time zone.
  12:18pm Vicki:

except for when you ask them what time it is outside of NY time :)
  12:18pm Bill:

In Japan, it's....Suntory time.
  12:19pm trumpeter of the news:

cool, last bryce show before the rapture! i'll miss this!
  12:20pm Cecile:

I'm on ADHD time, which is ten minutes later than what it's supposed to be. Unless it's the weekend, and then its' an hour.
  12:21pm ms_a:

Hi Bryce.
  12:21pm bryce:

  12:22pm Yair Yona (Tel Aviv):

now this is what I call a good start!
  12:22pm ms_a:

louder, I can't hear you :)
  12:24pm Cheri Pi:

Suntory-good stuff. smooth.
  12:28pm say when, or Zen:

From the magnificence of nature in the Land of the Rising Sun and the subtleties of its varied seasons
From the deep source of its pure waters
From the hands and hearts of its best artisans
Comes a whisky
Born from the Japanese way
Speaking to the soul and awakening our senses,
Taking us back to where it all began.

Suntory Whisky embodies the harmony that exists between Japanese nature and Japanese people.
Suntory Whisky is the fusion of the delicate forces of Japanese nature itself, combined with the passion and precision of the best Japanese artisans.
  12:28pm Carmichael:

Total party time, is what time it is.
  12:29pm Cecile:

it will be bee bim bap time for me in 90 minutes...
  12:33pm wuuj:

  12:33pm bryce:

hey, wuuj!
  12:38pm wuuj:

  12:42pm Chuck E. Jesus:

i took a class with George Russell many moons ago...thanks for the DVD Bryce!
  12:43pm bryce:

oh cool. no prob— thank YOU!
  12:45pm Vicki:

  12:47pm #K:

OH! It's bryce. Bryce I will see you later but you are having such a nice show NOW
  12:47pm bryce:

  12:47pm bryce:

sorry that was for vicki.
  12:48pm Vicki:

no it wasn't, I wouldn't accept any gift from you
  12:48pm bryce:

hey, how come you're not on scott's thank you list?? what a bad daddy
12:51pm yair yona (tel aviv, Earth):

worst thing that can happen to you, THE WORST, is to kick a table with your little pinky. I prefer world war over this.
  12:51pm #K:

I'm working for Jason today that is probably why
  12:52pm Vicki:

I'm working for Bryce
  12:52pm #K:

I'd work for Bryce. I'd work for Vicki too
  12:53pm Cecile:

yair, I feel ya.
  12:53pm BSI:

I'm working for peanuts.
  12:53pm still b/p:

Is it wrong to wish a vicious toe stub on certain people?
  12:54pm trumpeter of the news:

what, nobody cares about the rapture here??
  12:54pm Mike East:

Really great show today so far, Bryce!
  12:54pm The Man:

  12:54pm Mike East:

my boss is buying me afghan for lunch...does Bryce do that for you?
  12:55pm Vicki:

I don't eat dogs
  12:56pm bryce:

moroccan hashish for all my little angels
  12:57pm Jean Michel Jarre & a Hobo:

What's work?
  12:57pm Cecile:

trumpeter, the only rapture I care about is the artistic rapture this prickly, brilliant music brings upon me.
  12:57pm glenn:

mm. ju jubes.
12:57pm yair yona (tel aviv, Earth):

Cecil - thanks. it means a lot.
  12:58pm Cecile:

Another bad one is the elbow against a doorjamb. White-hot pain...
  1:00pm glenn:

try firing a 2 1/2" finish nail through your finger with a pneumatic nailer. i've done that.
  1:01pm Cecile:

ay yi yiyiyi
  1:01pm glenn:

and many other nifty carpentry related injuries besides.
  1:02pm bruceleh:

bim bo bop?
1:03pm yair yona (tel aviv, Earth):

Cecile, what about a basketball thrown towards your nose? didn't happen for about 20 years or so, but back in school - it was a mood killer.
  1:03pm trumpeter of the news:

slapshot to inside of your ankle is a showstopper
  1:04pm bryce:

chrysler building under your thumb nail
  1:06pm Cecile:

I caught a football in the face. I got a bloody nose, and even though beforehand I had thrown a perfect spiral, the neighborhood boys wouldn't play catch anymore.
1:07pm yair yona (tel aviv, Earth):

ok - beat this one: patrolling around a tank, on 4:00am when you're sleeping while walking, silence of the night, everything's freezing cold, and then BAM - you hit the tank's cannon with your head. rude awakening. happened to me twice. TWICE!
  1:07pm Cecile:

falling on skates right exactly on your patella is also screaming pain.
  1:07pm The Book of Revelation:

1. And verily for 7 years toes shall be stubbed, elbows banged, and basketballs thrown. 2. The winds shall be as like the wrath of a mad carpenter. 3. Architectural wonders shall slip under nail, and slapshots shall fly in the homes of the wicked.
1:08pm yair yona (tel aviv, Earth):

Ohh, I love Limbus 3 and 4 records. haven't heard that for long time.
  1:08pm still b/p:

A head coming up fast into the corner of an open cabinet door! White hot swearin'..
But ain't a gonna be no more pain tomorrah, no more cabinets, baskiballs or infernal nails, for them'z chosen..
  1:08pm Cecile:

That's a good one, yair. And ow.
  1:09pm bryce:

once i tripped on my own uvula and fell into a wood chipper at the edge of the darvaza sinkhole
1:10pm yair yona (tel aviv, Earth):

you have NO idea, the coldest, meanest metal hits your forehead. the real question though, is why patrolling for two hours circling a tank. I still haven't figured it out.
  1:10pm Cecile:

A character building exercise?
  1:11pm Chris from DC:

Nerve conductance test, when they hit the wrong spot. It was like being hit in the back of the head with a baseball bat.
  1:11pm Vicki:

watching Witchfinder General on fast forward while listening to Bryce's show and thinking about Jesus
  1:12pm still b/p:

Friend of mine used to say he liked ice cream headaches, 'cause it feels soooo good when it goes away.
  1:14pm bryce:

8pm...isn't it past your bedtime, vicki?
  1:15pm Vicki:

no, it just feels like it
  1:17pm jk:

If you'll allow me a digression, I'm pretty sure that Mach Man Randy Savage actually says the phrase "Space is the Place" in this interview: http://bit.ly/13hpW3
  1:18pm glenn:

and since he was killed earlier today..........
  1:18pm jk:

  1:18pm glenn:

did he have early rapture tickets?
  1:20pm an awful person:

Rapt around a tree.
  1:22pm Vicki:

I guess that was the rapture just then.
wasn't so bad
who's still here?
  1:23pm Carmichael:

I was running in a very crowded race many years ago, and moving VERY quickly. The crowd suddenly parted, and I hit a parking meter. Right in the chest. My day was over. I'll always remember the sound of rattling coins.
  1:23pm glenn:

as awful as princess diana dying of car pole tunnel syndrome.
  1:25pm wuuj:

he snapped into his final slim jim
  1:26pm Cecile:

It's sad. I always liked the macho man.
  1:29pm wuuj:

i always thought that his hip hop album was better than hulk hogan's hulk-a-maniac. RIP macho man.
  1:30pm Parq:

I saw a guy put on a show by rolling around in the mud. He was a mud-show man.
  1:33pm Pregunta grande:

¿Quien es mas macho? ¿Randy.....o Bryce?
  1:33pm The Book of Revelation:

  1:34pm Carmichael:

OK Parq, I knew a guy who was studying ancient Egyptian plumbing in college. He was a Pharoah faucet major.
1:38pm yair yona (tel aviv, Earth):

bummer to read about Randy Savage. I liked the guy
  1:47pm Joe Voltage:

Hi Bryce!! Worst pain I evered experineced was having shingles. Felt like bugs crawling under skin followed by lightening stinging your nerve endings. Never heard hulk's record, but love the ten commandments of Mr. T.
  1:57pm Chas and Dave:

got my beer in the sideboard here, let mother sort it out if he comes round here. I don't care, I don't care, I don't care if he comes round here. Got my beer in the sideboard here, let mother sort it out if he comes round here
  1:57pm bryce:

uch, shingles!! oh well, at least you didn't have cluster headaches
  1:58pm nic:

Henri Chopin piece is great this is 2
  1:59pm bryce:

thx, nic! vox abuse...
  2:11pm Looms:

Beautiful sounds as always :)
  2:13pm bryce:

hey, looms! forgive my brain-damaged pronunciation....
  2:25pm n:

iIt's like the prose of data-entry
  2:25pm nic:

this is insanely brilliant
  2:30pm aaron in chicago:

Wolgamot described the construction of the page that begins with George Meredith and that contains the names Paul Gauguin, Margaret Kennedy,39 Oland Russell, Harley Granville-Barker, Pieter Breughel, Benedetto Croce and William Somerset Maugham (this is the 60th page of the text) as follows— with many omissions, because I could not keep up: “Somerset has both
summer and set as in sun-set, and Maugham sounds like the name of a South Pacific Island, and Maugham wrote a biography of Gauguin, which name has both ‘go’ and ‘again’ in it, and Oland could be ‘Oh, land,’ a sailor’s cry, and Granville sounds French for a big city, which Gauguin left to go to the South Pacific . . . etceteras.” I couldn’t keep track of how the other names worked.
  2:32pm bryce:

what??!? someone found and interviewed j.b. wolgamot???
  2:33pm aaron in chicago:

  2:35pm Parq:

This makes surprisingly good work music, actually. The murmering voice creates a vibe that doesn't depend on comprehending what's being said.
  2:35pm bill:

was just looking at Ashley's album notes about the piece and about Wolgamot ... hoo boy http://www.lovely.com/albumnotes/notes4921.html
  2:35pm bryce:

oh cool, that's the same text in the ennnnormous book that comes with the cd. it's the station's so never had a chance to sit and vacuum it all in.
  2:36pm bill:

yeah, it's gonna take me a little while to vacuum ... another day ...
  2:37pm Joe Voltage:

Haven't heard this track in a while and didn't know who it was by. Thanks Bryce!! When did you have cluster headaches?
  2:38pm aaron in chicago:

I'm doing survey data cleaning right now and this might be the most perfect possible music for that
  2:39pm Joe:

The track is almost perfectly timed up with the mail collator that is running behind me.
  2:41pm n:

joe - i think that is a mail collator in the background
  2:44pm bryce:

oh man, i have NEVER had cluster headaches, thank god!! would've killed myself within a couple weeks, max.

unless it happened after the point i learned that low dosages of psilocybin completely mitigate the attacks.
  2:45pm Looms:

@Bryce: the pronunciation is no big deal to me, man! Love this "exotica touch" ;)
Seriously though, the fact that many WFMU DJs (and listeners) are interested in foreign art and culture is much appreciated here.
  2:46pm cklequ:

I've got piles of work to get to but i just can't bear to leave the computer until this song is finished.
  2:47pm bryce:

  2:50pm Joe:

  2:50pm Joe Voltage:

Ah ha ha. Has that hallucinogen conference in N.Y.C. happened this year yet ?
  2:53pm bryce:

hallucinogen!! how vulgar.

  2:56pm J-Mar:

Just had someone down the hall from me wondering if some cicadas had gotten into our office. No, it was just Bryce's show!
  3:01pm bryce:
