  3:23am bennett4senate:

@hotrod yeah I dig that this comp dips into the 80s sounds... sometimes it feels like all the '1970s funky african' songs are already reissued ;)
  3:34am coalhard:

  4:37am bennett4senate:

okay so this song is on a 'Diplo Presents' dubstep compilation. Its a pretty decent primer. I feel like in the UK though Dubstep actually means something, whereas right now in the US its just a term that gets thrown around. Anyone care to weigh in here? wtf is dubstep and is it the same in the US and UK?
  4:38am hamburger:

I'd call Rusko dubstep
  4:47am bennett4senate:

  4:56am hamburger:

  4:57am B. LaBonte:

Most US dubstep is made by people who are bitter that drum and bass died.
  5:01am B. LaBonte:

It's got that doomy atmospheric crap going for it.
  5:03am Marmalade Kitty:

Coalhard, Keith Floyd was a famous british restaurateur and TV chef.. You'd love him!
