  9:11am tomasz.:

  9:12am Scott:

Morning, folks, nice to see you.
  9:21am Handsome Harry:

I'm a sucker for poorly-intonated-piano upper register flourishes. Gets me every time. Great show so far!!
  9:21am pierre:

i've just discover Aksak Maboul yesterday in Jason's show talk's cheap. A seriously GOOD band isn't it ?
  9:22am pierre:

oh, sorry where my manners, good day to everybody, and Monsieur McDowell, thank you for the show.
  9:24am Scott:

De rien, Pierre.
  9:25am frank's brain:

ah, fado. nothing like a little dose of bad destiny on a friday morning.
  9:26am pierre:

  9:36am yngwie bouzouki:

this morning's mix is wickedly happy!
  9:41am northguineahills:

wicked Paul Bley!
  9:42am Cheri Pi:

I thought I was listening to Sun Ra before I checked the playlist.
  9:52am northguineahills:

@Cheri Pi: I thought exactly the same thing w/ the Paul Bley!
  10:22am Cecile:

I need a good Italian gavy (red sauce) recipe. I just started craving it and nobody does ItalianAmerican gramma food well in this town.
  10:22am Cecile:

And good morning all!
  10:29am yngwie bouzouki:

must have been nice to stand in front of that amp
  10:35am Mike East:

@Cecile - start with some oxtail
  10:36am Jess Shambler:

Good morning elephants! Good morning everyone!
  10:36am Cecile:

I was thinking that, MIke. I know a place that has great oxtail. Also, I have a source of good canned tomatoes and Italian sausage.
  10:37am autodidactic:

This elephant reminds me of Godzilla.
  10:37am slugluv1313:

awwwww GOOD MORNING, sweet elephants!!!!!!
  10:41am autodidactic:

was it creative differences?
  10:41am Cecile:

they got tired of working for peanuts.
  10:43am mark in cbus:

Looking forward to Acid Birds set. Thankfully no free music hate campaign happening here* (*see Jason's closing listener comments from yesterday)
  10:44am Cecile:

The motto here is the "best jazz in life is free."
  10:45am Robert:

I never heard the Acid Birds, but I was to a Byrds performance once. Does that count?
  10:45am Handsome Harry:

Those elephants tore it up. I'd even go so far as to say that they are the equal (or betters) of my high school pep band. Hoo-Rah-Rah.
  10:46am czkluk:

pipe organ + saxXX!!! and weird bass lines with the organ line It's nice.
  10:46am Bill F.:

Saw Acid Birds on Saturday night at Issue Project Room. Stunning. Looking forward to the set.
  10:51am audiolog:

Hi, Scott!
I am listening your show in St.Petersburg, Russia!
I like wfmu. Very nice radio! I listen you show constantly, also Shrunken Planet. Very different music, very interesting show. Do you play any russian musicians?
  10:51am Cecile:

Robert, it does if you were on acid.
  11:05am βrian:

Just listen to that iridescence!
  11:06am Cecile:

it is gorgeous and perfect for this morning.
  11:22am Robert:

Feedback cadenza?
  11:30am BSI:

great set.... takes on a strangely jubilant tone since seeing the headline on al-jazeera just now that mubarak hath resigned finally.
  11:30am Nate in Detroit:

I've gotta be honest...I've been more than a little averse to any of the Acid Birds tracks you've played on the show in the past...but I'm really digging this live set. Bummed that I decided not to see them when they came through Detroit last week :-/
  11:38am Dead Corporate Eyes:

I think he's in Cleveland soon, maybe this weekend....or maybe I just missed him?
  11:38am tomasz.:

BSI: i am totally getting that. had Al-Jazeera on the laptop and the Acid Birds set via iPhone app, brilliant
  11:39am Chris from DC:

Nate, they were fantastic here. Great bill here with Ancient Ocean. Wow, gotta check the news.
  11:44am frank's brain:

scott. good intro to the greatest fadista of them all...
  11:45am BSI:

It could all be a massive con, depending on the Egyptian Army -- cautiously optimistic. And yezzz, much dig the set today...
  11:56am Dead Corporate Eyes:

never seen a dance floor myself...usually I hang out on the noise floor
  11:57am autodidactic:

Thanks Scott + virtual guests.
  12:01pm tomasz.:

the noise floor is cool
  12:04pm slugluv1313:

yah, was digging Acid Birds too, whilst hearing the news of Mubarak's resignation!!!
  12:07pm Dead Corporate Eyes:
