OK, settling in with Scott Williams, formerly of Barcelona.
  12:08pm
BSI:

hey, it's just like old times...!
  12:11pm
Scott:

Mornin' boys! Happy to be back, believe it or not. Will be happier when some blue sausage clogs my mailbox.
  12:15pm
jeff-m:

indeed. welcome back.
  12:15pm
BSI:

dude, you should've been well clogged by now. Like, last month sometime. hm?
  12:17pm
Scott:

That's what I was thinking BSI - nothing! Did you use the JC PO or the Hoboken one?
  12:18pm
BSI:

hoboken, sent back in early april. [shakes fist] curse you, postmaster satan!
  12:20pm
Scott:

Yeah, fer realz! I'll look into it more after the show & let you know.
  12:22pm
BZ:

Blue sausage.. That's what they're calling it these days? Excellent.
  12:24pm
dc pat:

hmm. I've been having trouble with mail lately. Maybe it's a DC thing. Or could be all the damn mail folks walking around talking on phones now...
  12:29pm
dc pat:

alright! Finally a Wooden Shjips tune I like!
  12:32pm
BSI:

No kidding, DC Pat - these days every downtown post office is under-staffed & lines out the door .. it's a miracle any mail gets anywhere. ... oh, and naturally they got rid of all the self-service vending thingies as well. Whee!
  12:33pm
BSI:

& yes, great Shjips jam, that was.
  12:35pm
dc pat:

whoa. I listen to a lot of traditional music and I never heard anything like this before. This rules! From Australia??
  12:38pm
dc pat:

very nice, gotta git some Australian native music
  12:48pm
dc pat:

wasn't the hugest Pavement fan but they sounded freakin great. The heavy brew I was drinking didn't hurt...

jeeze, where'd everybody go??
  12:50pm
raga:

clogging scott's malebox with blue sausage.
  12:50pm
patrick:

hey scott, sorry to ask a this question, but when are the Mouse of Today prize packs shipping?
  12:53pm
Scott:

Hey Raga, I had some great Argentinian black sausage in Barca.
Hey Patrick. I believe we're shifting into Mousegear starting next week.
  12:54pm
Brain:

Welcome back, Scott. I really enjoyed the Primavera stream, especially the Gary Numan. Marc Almond sounded a lot like a Marc Almond Tribute Band, especially here, I think.
  12:56pm
Scott:

Thanks Brain!
  12:57pm
patrick:

great news! glad to hear that Spain was a good time! enjoying the show on this foggy day in maine.
  12:59pm
Scott:

Yay Maine. Where are you?
  1:02pm
Looms:

Hello Scott and all!
Sunny track under sunny weather, it was the perfect moment for tuning in. Hope you enjoyed yourself in Spain.
  1:03pm
listener james from westwood:

caught as much of the prima-fest live as i could. wonderful tunes. thanks to the whole fmu crew for bringing the bands to our living rooms and places of businesses via the magic of the internet. and to think i still remember wrasslin' with a dipole back in 92 and 93 to get an air signal from e. orange. damn do i love living in the future.
  1:08pm
patrick:

Downtown Portland Maine! Vacationland!! moving to Ohio soon to go back to school.
  1:10pm
Scott:

I love Portland. Staying mum on Ohio.
  1:12pm
Brian:

I'm stevelopping a dudder.
  1:17pm
Julie B:

I wanna see Gary Numan's new face.
  1:17pm
patrick:

well im in portland for the summer, if you come for a visit let me know, TArouble has my info. Ohio does not seem that bad...
  1:31pm
Scott:

Cool Patrick, thanks - I might!
  1:35pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

I'm from Ohio...it's awful!!
  1:36pm
seang:

are there still hookers on Grant St. in Portland, Maine?
  1:39pm
patrick:

hookers? not sure, lots of drugs though... As for Ohio, im from NJ and it cant be any worse? plus Ohio seems like it has better Beer and Ice Cream then anywhere i have lived.
  1:40pm
patrick:

hookers? not sure, lots of drugs though... As for Ohio, im from NJ and it cant be any worse? plus Ohio seems like it has better Beer and Ice Cream then anywhere i have lived.
  1:40pm
Chris from DC:

Yeah the Alchemysts. Great band they were.
  1:41pm
patrick:

not that im ragging on NJ, but people say NJ sucks the same way they say Ohio sucks
  1:43pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

I think our hookers are better too.
  1:43pm
still b/p:

Oh, yes, some drugs and thugs (not including resident friends of mine) on Grant St., but I haven't heard about tart traffic levels either. A couple of streets up are traditional spots for the trade.
  1:43pm
BSI:

this Amy Annelle tune stops me every time; it's got ghosts in it somehow.
  1:43pm
dc pat:

I lived in Ohio when I was 4-5 and then 7-8 and thought it was delightful. I was basically only concerned with bologna sandwiches, Batman, and GI Joes back then though...
  1:44pm
dc pat:

BSI: yeah, Scott plays a lot of that kind of music. I reacted the same way.
  1:46pm
Scott:

BSI / dc pat -- yeah ghosts! Man, that track, whew...
  1:47pm
Duke of Earl Grey:

NJ isn't too awful. Just looks awful from the highway. At least you can tell some of the towns apart. And there is WFMU. OH seems worse but I've only driven through -- worst way to judge a state.
  1:50pm
Scott:

Yeah, I judge Ohio harshly based only on driving thru - not fair, I grant you. A lotta great music comes out of that place though, and I'm inclined to believe that's an indication of a bad place to live. NJ, gawwwddd.... that's a whole complicated bag o' self loathing that's not entirely deserved. But partially, yeah - definitely.
  1:51pm
still b/p:

A former girlfriend had glowing things to say about Cincinnati after a business trip and lookaround.
  1:53pm
dc pat:

Cleveland: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysmLA5TqbIY
  2:00pm
gib:

from ohio.. good place to be raised. even better place to leave. we've had the most presidents of any state.. and indian words are beautiful. im originally from maumee.
  2:00pm
Cecile:

Cleveland, with John Petkevich and the farmer's market and iron Chef Michael Syman looks like a swell place to visit.
My friend goes, "American money goes very far there" after a visit. :O
  2:05pm
patrick:

people seem to speak very highly of Cleveland, but im moving to Columbus. yes LOTS of bands seem to come outta there. in a city of a million people something cool must be going on.
  2:08pm
Cecile:

Columbus has a great tradition of quirky bands, even in the early 80s. And the Offense fanzine and Stache's and Great Plains. Good times.
  2:11pm
emma_B:

columbus = relatively close (≈60-70 miles) to Athens Ohio where i spent a week on holiday last year. it was bitter winter and frozen through and through. Most everything was closed, but it seems like i spied some nice thrift and record stores although i didn't get to explore them.
  2:12pm
gib:

one time some guy stole my girlfriends car in columbus.. the police found it a few days later.. the guy left a job application on the front seat that said "cobumbus"
  2:23pm
Joe:

greatest story ever.
  2:27pm
HEINEKEN??!!:

Candy Colored Clown!
  2:28pm
Cecile:

I must concur.
  2:30pm
dc pat:

here we go with the ghost stuff again...
  2:31pm
Chris from DC:

Just got my copy of the Messages LP yesterday. For ghot stuff wait'll you hear "Shruti Box".
  2:31pm
Chris from DC:

Er, ghost
  2:46pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

  2:54pm
BSI:

  2:55pm
Bad Ronald:

  2:58pm
Nat:

  3:05pm
