Gee, Neil's singing wasn't half-bad back then.

Enjoying the show as always. Thanks, Mike!
  11:15am Ron:

Was it possible he was actually trying to produce a hit single?
  11:17am Chris:

Your show makes me wish my caveman dad would get the internet so he can listen to it. Is that like going back to the future?
  11:19am dale:

morning michael. where do you get your jingles - pams or some place like that?
  11:25am Michael S:

I wish I could afford some PAMS jingles ! These are made right here at WFMU !
  11:28am dale:

  12:05pm Michael S:

Chuck - there are teams of researchers trying to answer that very question - I'll never tell
  12:06pm david:

  12:11pm drr:

  12:49pm sammy:

Where's my swag? If you pledged during our 2010 fundraising Marathon and have not received your goodies yet, fear not! We will be mailing out swag over the next few weeks. It takes us several weeks to get everything out to everyone, so thanks for your patience! If you haven't paid off your pledge yet, please contact Joe McGasko.
  12:50pm melissa:

In the 1980's I had a weird job in SF- opening fan mail for various rock and roll bands- including The Hoodoo Gurus! I was supposed look for $$ put aside any that contained checks for merch and then throw them all away. The Hoodoo Gurus had a very dedicated group of fans. I still have one of their tee shirts!
  12:51pm benbunch:

what version of "coming up" is this?
  12:56pm MS:

The 45
  1:00pm george m:

great show as usual little liza jane and be here now in the same set gee wiz thats cool
  1:01pm ?:

MR MIKE! ...WE 9 BUCKY0 have just been playing a cover of 'alex chilton' at our recent concerts ...for memorial purposes...aces show as EVER ALWAYS!
  6:52pm Country Paul:

Michael, The Millennium was Curt Boettcher's sunshine pop group (you'd mentioned you didn't know anything about them). Gary Usher produced much of their matierial; I don't know about this one, which was a Columbia 45. ALSO: Love the Loy Clingman track; what an odd and haunting voice. Newton Bros: this is a bit squeaky, but Rock & Roll Lullabye is pure rockabilly genius. I can send an mp3 if you need it.
Best regards,
Country Paul
PS - Watch for Benefit Street CD! VERY soon!
  5:19pm Daniel C.:

Michael . i've been perusing the archives ..loved your interview with Bernard Purdie
