A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

  9:05am trouble:

good morning fair, wet travelers!
  9:07am Skirkie:

The Hackensack has receded. The office is safe for now.
  9:07am Charcutero:

Trouble! My friend saw silver pines at SXSW 2 weeks ago and said they were fantastic.
  9:09am Adrian in London:

Howdy all from London. Not raining. For once.
  9:09am north guinea hills:

Thanks to you, Trouble, I've gotten no work done due to you recommending that Molly the owl stream.
  9:12am trouble:

good morning adrian.
  9:17am J-Mar:

Excited to hear the Juliana Barwick set!
  9:20am trouble:

  9:21am trouble:

the julianna set will be gorgeous!
  9:22am Adrian in London:

If you think owl cam is addictive, wait until you see this site: http://www.zefrank.com/youngmenowme/

Photos of people when they were young, next to current ones.
  9:31am dale:

morning trouble. everyone in the home state okay? crazy stuff when we get so-called hundred year floods every year.
  9:32am Michael Slaboch:

*Feeling* this set Trouble! Here's a new Syl Johnson quote for you, "Music is a savage that soothes the beast."
  9:35am C:

cool site, adrian. had to cut myself off otherwise i'd be there all day.
  9:37am BSI:

wow, this would make a nice double feature with the other "comic strip" (lothar & the hand people)
  9:42am dale:

chickenman. he's everywhere. he's everywhere!
  9:43am BSI:

I'm just now discovering Chicken Man; found that same 'Best Of' album at my corner junkshop in a pile of Herb Albert... good stuff
  9:44am PMD:

I will go to those sites later for sure. I am working from home on a beautiful day and already have too many temptations...
Sorry Trouble about your water issues! Seems like every other day we have a water main break. Maybe some of our tax dollars should go to improving the underground systems before they break??
  9:48am dc pat:

c and adrian: yeah I'll have to tear myself away too--I love that kind of shit. THAT is what makes the internets great.
  9:50am Hugh:

Hello Trouble!
Actually worked at Duke Farms, as a carpenter for one year,--1973--I worked in her house, in her bedroom, and, particularly, on a Southeast Asian project, which never got off the ground. I even had to drive a sheep into Manhattan, herd cows,w/o a horse, empty the rat traps, catch snapping turtles for her soup--it went on & on--remarkable experience!
  9:53am trouble:

dale, thanks for asking, yes everyone is well and relatively dry.
  9:55am Michael Slaboch:

We have film footage of The Politicians doing that song on "Soul Street" an Ohio public access show from the 70s! It's visually as amazing as it sounds. I'll try to upload it later today...
  9:56am tycalli:

jesus christ superstar?
  9:57am sugarwolf:

tycalli - i think so too!!
  9:57am dale:

el nino, global warming, whatever - climate patterns are always changing on this planet. we don't always build in the best places (my 1840s house sits at the bottom of a wet hill. i always ask 'what were they thinking?')
  9:58am Brian:

Things are dry as dust in Madison, but that's about to change.
  10:03am Cecile:

Hola, all!
  10:03am trouble:

persian jesus christ superstar crossover? perhaps...
  10:05am Cecile:

If you would happen to have the Jungle Brothers' "Girl I'll House You" around, that would be amazing...
  10:07am J-Mar:

Hola, Cecille. The great thing about Trouble's show is that you get to listen to music *and* you get to hear nature sounds, thanks to the birds in the FMU studio!
  10:09am erella:

Hello sweet Trouble. That voice reminded me of Cora Daye from Dr Buzzard's Original Savannah Band. Have any idea what ever happened to her? Ah you just mentioned that she sang with Kid Creole + Coconuts.
Hmmm coincidence?
  10:09am MD:
