  3:02pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

Oh shit yeah! you DID get Alisdair after all! You da man.
  3:03pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

Please have him play before 5 'cuz that's when I punch out, though, if you can!
  3:04pm timotato:

Welcome Irwin. If you're doing a Holloween theme show I wish to request "Horror Movie" by the Skyhooks if you can find it.
  3:05pm Ike:

Irwin, I thought of you earlier on an S train to Grand Central with two incorrect musicians: a Christian guitarist beggar and a wheelchair-bound incoherent a cappella gospel-ish-singing Phillies fan with an amplifier.
  3:05pm GP:

Hello Irwin and everyone...I was just listening to Nardwuars interview with Crispin Glover....so I missed Maria's show which looked really good based on the playlist.
  3:08pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

Maria's show is always good, but it's up against two really good local college shows in CLE that I switch between.
  3:09pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

Luckily for Irwin, the two college stations just play reggae during this slot....so he's stuck with me.
  3:12pm Cecile:

awesome choice. It's just "skyhooks".
They were my first rock concert!!!!!
  3:12pm Cecile:

I miss Burger Chef. They had the best condiment bar. All the mustard and pickles my burger could hold.
  3:13pm GP:

I hear you DCE, our local plays a ratio of about 50:1 free-form "jazz" to everything else, so I really can't listen to them for very long.

I can' miss Irwin though...you never know when Amanda is going to pop in.

Speaking of DJ"s, check this ( although it may be more interesting to the Old Codger than everyone else):
  3:14pm GP:

I meant "can't miss" not, "can"...amazing a difference a T makes!
  3:16pm Laura L:

DCE--Nothin' against Maria, but the two college stations you mention... available on the web that is so famously worldwide? Also, I concur--Irwin da man--today's Alasdair Day!
  3:16pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

yeah, GP, you BETTER set yourself straight with Irwin! Thanks for the link.
  3:16pm Mr. T:

You got that right, sucka!
  3:18pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

Laura L--www.wcsb.org Most mornings to mid-afternoon it's a great station, then the reggae comes in in the afternoons.

www.wruw.org Better website with archiving as well, radio station almost as good as wcsb

  3:21pm Me wow:

I can haz Super Chef?

  3:22pm another old man:

World Series begins tonight...who's Ole Pal Irwin got?
  3:23pm Laura L:

Thanks DCE! Reggae time would be switch-off time for me too.
  3:29pm Janet H:

this is my song!!
  3:32pm irwin:

which one?
  3:35pm Janet H:

well not really.....For You by Elephant Pride
  3:35pm jan:

Sugii- arigato gozaimasu!
  3:36pm GP:

I'm off to a meeting...Love this Koichi song Irwin.
  3:36pm Carmichael:

Whoa. I tune looking in for Irwin and hear Francis Albert. You've bent the eclectic/avant garde plane backwards on itself, so what's an old standard is now edgy.
I'm making no sense.
  3:36pm Ike:

If we're sharing other fave web radio stations: wnur.org, woxy.com, kfjc.org. Been meaning to check out freeteam.nl/patapoe/ also.
  3:38pm Parq:

Was intrigued by the "Legendary Japanese Jazz Scene" and looked it up. Found this page, with a rather amazing quote -- about halfway down the page, after the author's name:

  3:49pm PMD:

Arriving late because too scared to arrive earlier.
  3:50pm Laurie:

Ooh, is this a new one from Giant Sand?
  3:51pm Irwin:

Nine years old.
  3:51pm Cecile:

No, it came out about 10 years ago
  3:52pm Irwin:

Naysayer! Contrarian!
  3:52pm Ike:

Wow, great Giant Sand song.
  3:56pm Cecile:

No, actually posting at the same time as you, Irwin. ;)
  3:56pm Janet H:

no thank you irwin!
  3:58pm Laurie:

I should probably delve into Giant Sand's discography. When I was in high school, I endlessly listened to that one perfect OP8 CD.
  4:00pm Laura L:

  4:01pm C:

i really liked that howe gelb album that he did with the gospel choir a few years back. definitely worth checking out along with giant sand catalog
  4:01pm Laurie:

Is it a scary drammer?
  4:02pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

Whoo! Concert lighter out!
  4:08pm PMD:

Is it live or is it Memorex?
  4:09pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

...so vivid, and so creepy...
  4:12pm Laura L:

... so lucid and so creepy...
  4:15pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

I can't believe he's doing this tune! Awesome!
  4:17pm PMD:

It is an amazing sound/voice.
  4:18pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

Geez, I've seen the Clientele twice and they never dug this far back! I'm jealous, NYC'ers.
  4:19pm Janet H:

  4:19pm miketp:

  4:23pm Laura L:

Thanks, Alasdair, for making it to Irwin's show--looking forward to Joe's Pub tomorrow night too--and the new album's super. Thank you, Irwin!
  4:23pm PMD:

Thanks to Trent for engineering so nicely. I've heard bad engineering before.
  4:25pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

the two Suburban Lights tracks bring me right back to the early 00s...good years for indie.
  4:31pm PMD:

I'm 18 yeaz owd.
  4:32pm Jeff:

You hurt me awsoh.
  4:33pm Webhamster Henry:

Granny, Sing No More!
  4:35pm Jeff:

Harrible looking!
  4:36pm PMD:

I think Casper was secretly gay and in love with Horace.
  4:37pm Janet H:

I said Elephant Pride...LOL! I ment to say Elephant Parade. Thats the republican in me speaking.

  4:39pm jeremy the listener:

"Green Eggs & Ham" with Shelley Manne on drums? How damn marvelous.
  5:36pm GP:

Canadian band, Moxy Fruvous has a cool version of "Green Eggs and Ham".
  5:37pm Seuss:

Would Spike Jonze make a decent film version of "Green Eggs and Ham," given the chance and the $$$?
  5:38pm Lizardner Dave:

I just called my wife to have her put this on at home. Good radio for the cats.
  5:40pm Cool Cat:

You got that right Daddy-O.
  5:44pm Merkel:

Ich bin ein Bowliner.
  5:54pm Laurie:

I would never pull a K on Alasdair, provided he sing to me always.
  5:57pm Janet H:

Yes, Elephant Parade!!!!! good bye!!
  5:59pm GP:
