Listener comments!

  12:02pm
GP:

Good morning/afternoon Liz Berg. Hope your weekend was, as the kids say these days, swingin.
  12:04pm
Liz B.:

Hi GP and anyone else out there, the weekend was both swingin', rockin', and pukin' (not me personally) - thanks to WFMU Fest!
  12:05pm
Carmichael:

Hey dere Liz.

GP, you're one hep cat.
  12:05pm
Young Punk:

It was rad, too..
  12:06pm
Liz B.:

Ha ha, I can't count. Both= 3 today!
  12:10pm
GP:

Both = 3 : )

Wish I lived closer in order to enjoy some of the FMU festivities, alas it is not to be....but someday a road trip, maybe.
  12:21pm
GP:

Out to lunch..back soon. Have a seat right there and wait for me. THX.
  12:29pm
dc pat:

oh, it must be long-song day for Liz. Sounds good.
  12:30pm
anyone to everyone:

  12:31pm
alyssa from cleveland:

great song, great time at atp. it was nice meeting you! (sorry if i was a little creepy!)
  12:31pm
Liz B.:

You're right, DC Pat, this is the long attention span set!
  12:32pm
Liz B.:

Hi Alyssa, nice meeting you, too! You were not creepy at all! Hope all is well in Cleveland.
  12:37pm
Jay from Scotland:

Sun Araw & Panda Bear & Yo La Tengo = all = Five Stars!!!!
  12:38pm
Ike:

To Anyone: I think Kenny G. essentially has his own entire STREAM now (unfortunately prob. without his entrancing dulcet tones though): the Ubu stream. Isn't that his?

New sched.: I'm most pained that Bethany is off, but them's the breaks. That's what archives are for. And look, Billy Jam is back! YAY!
  12:38pm
Jay from Scotland:

Panda Bear & Sun Araw & Yo La Tengo = all = Five Stars!!!!!
  12:41pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

I see Diane Kamikaze is back, but late at night when I'm usually asleep. I know there'll be archives, but that would mean I'd be missing awesome live programming...blah.
  12:44pm
Cecile:

Oh, diane, you are on so late.
But YAY! Billy Jam, Fabio, Maria stay put!
  12:44pm
Cecile:

I mean Billy Jam is back, and Fabio and Maris stay put!
  12:47pm
Ike:

+ Jeffrey Davison: Yay!
+ Anything called Nardwuar the Human Serviette Show has GOT to be good.
- Keili: Is she off to college yet?
- Mary Wing: That was a great new show.
- Coffee Break: The token underground hip-hop show position is taken by Billy Jam, I guess.
- The Rampler: That was another great new show, but it probably took lots of work.

Still no Woody; sigh. His last fill-in was A-MAZ-ING. But overall, schedule looks great. I also LOVE that Fabio stays put.
  12:49pm
Cecile:

Ike: Nardwuar is awesome. He's been doing his unique anarchy for over 20 years.
  12:58pm
Carmichael:

Hey, these kids are kinda Beach Boy-ee ...
  1:02pm
sherri:

the rampler RULED!!!!!!!!!
  1:03pm
sherri:

  1:04pm
Mark from Pompton Plains:

that beck cover was pretty as HAYL, yo!
  1:05pm
Parq:

Weekdays look pretty similar, tho' I will look forward to "Long Rally" with my Tues breakfast. Glad to see Sat'y afternoon remains intact. Sunday late night w/o Bethany? Oh well, I was long ago asked to end Sundays without Ed Sullivan, I guess I can get used to this, too.
  1:10pm
llliiissssaaa:

hey liz!
your show is completely delightful this afternoon - is it me or is it poppier than usual>? suits my mood completely! thanks!!!!
  1:10pm
em:

Personally, I'm mourning the loss of Lupica....again. But yay for Billy Jam!!
  1:11pm
Mark from Pompton Plains:

And Nat Roe (scoff...."Nash Rose!") thank god is back from like Korea or whatever. That son owes me a play of Thomas Krakowiak "relay". And why is Kenny G so damned self-centered? What an Ubuhead.
  1:12pm
Liz B.:

Hey Lisa, we are most definitely coated in sugar right now!
  1:15pm
Ike:

Oh yeah, Em, I forgot to mention Lupica! He is hilarious. Great blog. He should do a talk show someday. Maybe with Bronwyn and Kelly. But he has a very good reason for going off-sched.

Nifty show Liz!
  1:17pm
Jay from Scotland:

Five Stars!!!
  1:20pm
Liz B.:

Thanks for all the stars, Jay, and hope all is well in your far-off mystical land!
  1:24pm
BSI:

yeh, I know Kenny G lives on (in our hearts as well as on ubu), but the crossovers between his slot & Irwin's always yielded such dirty, dirty rainbows...
  1:32pm
Ike:

BSI, I'll never forget: At least once back in the late '90s, Kenny G. played the Eno-y Windows start-up theme sound (of the time) over and over again for about an hour. Drove my boss crazy! I loved it!

Liz, sorry to hijack your comments to discuss the new sched. All praise Liz!
  1:53pm
Jay from Scotland:

& all praise Vibes!
  2:03pm
jaypee:

The Cassini–Huygens probe! How I love its cheery bloops and bleeps!

  2:31pm

Cheeseslider, perhaps the most perfect tune to return from lunch to. This beat matches my funky walk from the parking lot back to my cube..ah yea!
  2:38pm
Andrew:

Go Dune band names! Preparing to snipe this ebay auction...
  2:48pm
dc pat:
