Sounds from the archive of the future, sonic drilling into the past, dissonant rumbling, lyrical melodies, noises (human, animal, mechanical, digital) inscrutable yet honest, desultory but consistent.

wow, ui+stereolab, haven't heard this outside my bedroom in 10 years....
  3:10pm Ike:

  3:11pm still b/p:

In a college writing class, I composed a story derived and expanded from the lyrics to St. Elmo's Fire. It was wretched and vacant, more awful than awful.
  3:23pm Chris:

Now is the time on Sprockets when we dance.
  3:24pm north guinea hills:

was that a quote from the making of Fitzcarraldo?
  3:26pm Werner Herzog:

I took a trip to the Grand Canyon recently. It was horrible, a gigantic hole in the ground like the Earth had received a terrible wound. As I looked down into it's emptiness, the oppressiveness of the void and the banality of existance filled me with dread. Still, I loved it. This was the best I had felt all year.
  3:27pm Chris:

Best laugh I've had in quite some time Werner.
  4:02pm jan:

  5:12am Erik:

Hey David, great show! I love that Herzog quote about the jungle. Isn't it from Burden of Dreams?
