  2:08am
Joshua K:

My desk smells like a hoagie
  2:10am
Joshua K:

This is a very Thriller inspired record.
  2:11am
efd (in the record library):

Joshua, I was just thinking the same thing!
  2:13am
Joe:

Thirded
  2:14am
stingy d:

ok look, i got some frozen peaches on my foot now. cus the ice aint ready. i don't care what you say.
  2:14am
Joe:

Fun fact: Michael started and spread the whole "sleeps in a hyperbolic chamber" rumor because he was trying to promote a futuristic image of himself for this film.
  2:17am
Joe:

"film"
  2:18am
Marty:

My aunt worked at Disneyland when this came out. Changed my life forever!! I must have spent more time in line for this movie than actually watching it!
  2:19am
Joshua K:

Hooter!
  2:21am
marty:

Hooter was played by Joseph Anthony "Tiny" Cox. One of my all time favorite little people. Got his start as an Ewok, then killed it in Bad Santa!!
  2:21am
phantom bleeder:

wow. shit. this came out the year i was born.
  2:23am
marty:

it was also the only place i could hear we are hear to "change the world," that wasn't released until he the mj box set came out in '04. Totally in my top 5 MJ Songs ever.
  2:25am
Joe:

That guy was an Ewok?! Damn now I gotta go check out my Return of the Jedi dvd and look for the Ewok in the background chain-smoking .
  2:26am
Joshua K:

Wonder how long before they do a Bluray version of Moonwalker
  2:28am
phantom bleeder:

"He uses his power to transform the dark hulking guards into agile dancers..."
mmph...poetic.
  2:28am
stingy d:

that sounded like the menu music for nba jam.
  2:30am
Joe:

He's ON FIRE!

Can't buy a bucket...
  2:30am
Joshua K:

I wouldn't be surprised if they did an IMAX 3-D thing like they do these days.
  2:30am
phantom bleeder:

nuh-uh,marty.aint no home-movie 3d yet.
  2:34am
phantom bleeder:

california party...but a really hip one...after...several bottles of whiskey.rollicking.

  2:37am
Joshua K:

I almost forgot about Space Channel 5 part 2 with Space Michael http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pnCvZ-yBOs
  2:37am
stingy d:

hey joe.. can i try bouncing something off you if you're still there?
  2:39am
Joe:

Yeah shoot?
  2:42am
stingy d:

right so... i think it was you... one time we were sittin here doing basically what we're doing now... and i made a comment about how "this is what its like to walk into a room" or something liek that. if you remember that weird one-off moment in my life... do you remember the song, or the show we were listening to... or anything at all about my brain?
  2:44am
stingy d:

jeez that feels way more random after reading it than it did before i wrote it.
  2:47am
Joe:

actually I vaguely do.

It definitely feels like it was during this show. Or during the week during this timeslot. Maybe $mall change? I'm pretty faded right now, and probably was then too. You looking for the song? Or the vibe?
  2:47am
Joshua K:

"Sonic 3 (also called Sonic & Knuckles) was a lot of fun, but it was also very difficult. Michael Jackson was originally brought in to compose all the music for the game, but at the very end, his work was dropped after his scandals became public"
  2:51am
stingy d:

the song. it was too good to be true, thats about all i can remember. i'm glad you might vaguely remember. brings a tear to my eye.
  2:52am
stingy d:

anybody ever play the moonwalker game? you gotta save little kids from the trunks of cars. and all sorts of weird thugs chase you around. and you get to be michael .
  2:53am
Joshua K:

This site has side by side comparisons of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Michael Jackson music:
http://sonicresearch.org/basement/?p=mj_s3
  2:53am
Joe:

Joshua you just blew my freaking mind. Sonic and Knuckles was awesome.

Was Moonwalker for Sega?
  2:54am
Joshua K:

Moonwalker was in the arcades, and for master system/game gear and genesis I think.
  2:58am
stingy d:

marty! witchita lineman?! whewf. blown away

and also i think i played moonwalker on nintendo? but i may have played it on dreamscape??? or whatever that first system to use cd's was. on a data cd with a million games type situation. i don't remember.
  2:58am
Joe:

Wait, it was Scott McDowell's show.

check it -

http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/30933
  3:05am
stingy d:

oh wow! there's the commnt!! but what the hell song was it? i'll figure it out later! thanks a million for being the able minded researcher!!! so happy!
and good lou rawls to top it off. my foot is in the ice! and i feel fine!
  3:11am
stingy d:

it's funny because p is actually saying "put us together, it's like mixing vodka and milk"
  3:12am
Joshua K:

I can't handle the lactose.
  3:12am
Joe:

No prob. That is probably the worst part about FMU, when you hear something that's perfect and it disappears into ephemera. (aka short term memory has holes in it)

Asssiaaaaaaa
  3:14am
Joshua K:

You would have to find the comment and then forward the archive to that exact offset based on when the show started.
  3:14am
stingy d:

i know all the songs they scratched into the chorus. and those songs do not approve of what they've become.
  3:17am
stingy d:

p wouldn't be able to handle the lactose either. he a lactose intolerant dude. i think its a sickle cell thing. and i think i will have to do exctly that with the archive so i can pin down specifically what it was. but of coure... i'll probably think the opposite when i see the timestamp sreams crossing. and i'll just sit there being kinda miffed.
  3:17am
Marty:

Sorry to go back but first chance to shout. Moonwalker was a sega game. There was this arcade where i gre up that was $2 to get in and then all thier games took nickles instead of quarters and some games were free Moonwalker was free. I wouldn't let my friends leave until we had beeten it at least once!
  3:20am
stingy d:

wow! FREE!? unheard of. and that game system was "dreamcast" which was in fact a sega product.
  3:21am
Joshua K:

The arcade one was different. If you got bubbles the chimp you turned into a robot. The Genesis/Master System one was more like Shinobi.

You should play this on the air:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHwHiymSojk
Pretty sweet video game tune.
  3:23am
Joe:

Josh you beat me to that by like 10 seconds.

AWESOME MIDI version of "smooth criminal".
  3:26am
Joe:

No, wait, that's not it at all. But that is also awesome and brings back mad memories. I don't even know whats GOING ON.

  3:34am
nevaminds:

i foundsed out
  3:35am
Marty:

He also plays in Emeralds. Outa Cleveland I think. He has a few solo tapes and cdrs floating around. We have a cd-r of a cassette that Wagon put last year. Never Seen him solo, but Emarlds were one of the best things i saw at No Fun Fest Last year.
  4:03am
stingy d:

as much as ou're turning it out. i gotta get some rest. more work on these busted pins tomorrow. nice rabbit.
  4:13am
Joshua K:

Hmm song is taking a stereolab/NEU! kinda flavor now.
  4:20am
Marty:

I wish i could read what ever language so i knew what kinda drugs they were trying to make coax thier plants into making w/ this jam.
  4:21am
Marty:

oooo its LSD (i can read that its the same in any language)
  4:44am
Joshua K:

Whatever happened to the guys from Unwound? That was a really good band.
  5:02am
Marty:
