  12:22pm
dc pat:

  12:23pm
annie:

conversly, i just finished the last sip of coffee and beer is the last thing my pallate wants to taste. now, three hours os so from now the yearning for wine sets in..
  12:24pm
Bad Ronald:

You gotta use something a bit stronger than vino DCP.
  12:25pm
dc pat:

Oscar Wilde, noted rogue Irishman, said it: I can resist anything except temptation.
  12:34pm

djarnis:

  2:31pm
dc pat:

AAAAHHHHH! Ovo KICKS!
  2:31pm
detroitdave:

Ovo stated out like a unknown hinson song.........
  2:32pm
fishmonkeystew:

Love that vinyl static.......
  2:37pm
trent:

you should start a health call-in show
  2:37pm
detroitdave:

probably from typing all them foriegn titles
  2:38pm
bob loblaw:

I wear hobo gloves at my computer too! Mostly because my office is 2 degrees. Get a gyro ball to help with wrist strength.
  2:38pm
dc pat:

HOLY crap, there are a LOT of bands out there called Ovo....
  2:38pm
annie:

avoid the surgery liz... stay aawwaaaayyy . chinese exercise balls.. they will help.... stay away from the doctors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2:39pm
jaypee:

Carpal tunnel is the suck, I had it in my right hand for a while until I switched mice.

Grey hair is the awesome, embrace it Liz, embrace it.
  2:39pm
bob loblaw:

Squeezy balls help too. and definitely void surgery; I did it in my right wrist, and now I have almost no flexibility.
  2:41pm
brandon:

THROBBING WRISTLE HAHAHAHAHHA
  2:41pm
annie:

obviously the solution is to change the repeated pattern that created it to begin with.. i can write you an RX for no more texting.. !
  2:42pm
detroitdave:

perhaps someone would donate the squeezy balls to help your cause..........work the hands girl! no doctor needed for that
  2:42pm
bob loblaw:

Also, try to start learning how to do everything with keystrokes; I almost never use my mouse. You can usually write your own keystroke macros to do almost anything you want, and you can change keystrokes that are uncomfortable (e.g., command-a is the worst, so I changed it to something more comfortable).
  2:43pm
paulthepostman:

Liz, caught a little of Dan Bodah's show and was v impressed with 'Circle', are they from your neck of the woods perchance?
  2:43pm
bob loblaw:

Best keystroke: Ctrl+Tab or Command+Tab for Mac - no need to use the mouse to shift between windows. Makes me 13.2% more efficient.
  2:44pm
carissa:

well i guess that sucks. i'm a kid born and raised on the internet so i guess i'm fucked
  2:44pm
jon:

Really like this Marnie Stern stuff. And she quotes a James Broughton poem as well. "This Is It" It's a beautiful film as well.
  2:44pm
big d tx dave:

A Dvorak keyboard is supposed to help avoid carpal tunnel. Of course, you'll need to learn how type all over, I hear but it's worth it. Your desk/workstation ergonomics are essential. We had an ergomonics who would set up your chair, keyboard, desk to help avoid cts. It worked for me.
  2:46pm
Liz B.:

Thanks for all your carpal tunnel remedies! Ken says that I should only type with my index fingers... hmmm?! My ergo keyboard is on the way. Good luck to all you younguns and your texting ways!
  2:46pm
bob loblaw:

I'd worry less about wrists and more about eyes. Anyone who grew up on crappy CRTs for at least 10 years is screwed; we'll all be blind before 60 from all over the optic nerve damage, not to mention the mini-seizures it probably induced.
  2:47pm
carissa:

you should play karl blau next please or else i will send you a text message
  2:49pm
Joshua Kobles:

you should, my wrist is starting to hurt real bad.
  2:49pm
detroitdave:

......using index fingers to type....I didn't know there was any other way....hell I write complete service manuals that way an I don't have cts
  2:52pm
Parq:

Massage therapy is a great thing for RSI, Liz; you don't realize to what a great extent muscles far away from the wrist contribute to the problem. And it's a lot less expensive than you may think.
  2:53pm
Parq:

As for your touch of silver, it could only have come from fast, high living, and therefore is something to be proud of.
  2:58pm
annie:

DDave-i have used hunt and peck for almost 40 years... still fine.. my touch of carpal tunnel comes from ... i have no idea.. right hand only. might very well be the mouse.. i just use reiki on it and exercise..
  3:00pm
detroitdave:

annie, that isn't just an excuse to the hubby is it??
  3:00pm
dc pat:

I think mouses are worse than keyboards
  3:14pm
Ike:

Just get a mousepad with one of those wrist protecting puffy areas in the front of it. That solved the problem entirely for me.
  3:24pm
posthumous opossum:

always kill with the first song. you do i mean.
