Irwin, politics aside (not that I am apolitical) your ability to construct a "show" has renewed by sense of possibility in radio. Already been turned on to new stuff (new to me) within the few months of finding your spot. I unabashedly thank you.

I won't fault Irwin his vote. It was very well-considered. The prospect of him having to squeeze into a studio with Rush is too much for the brain to squeeze into. And we'd all rather squeeze a bobble-headed Pailn than a Biden bobble-head.
  4:05pm

I am a real defective.

Irwin is also the reason they finally cancelled MADtv. He truly is our lord and savior.
  4:42pm
Sean Daily:

Irwin is GOD, man. No, wait, Irwin is, like, BETTER than God. If God was, like, a two-foot 6 made out of balsa wood, then Irwin would be a TEN-MILE HIGH 98 MADE OUT OF SOLID PLUTONIUM.
  4:42pm

MADTV was worthwhile if only for the "Son of Dolemite" sketch series. They nailed those movies. The rest? Not so much.

I'll have a Giant Jesus Punch with no ice, please, and send my heart and eyes and kidney to Mr. Chusid's table, in case he ever needs them.
  4:48pm
Joe:

Irwin is the force that brought Optimus Prime back from the dead after he died in that gnarly film that proudly featured Orson Welles as a giant robot planet that eats other planets.
  4:49pm
Cecile:

Son of Dolemite: What once was bad is back to bein' the same.
I feel like a brand-new man now that I've got my cane.
My father's legacy will carry on morning, noon, and night.
If you didn't know my name; now you do-- the Son of Dolemite!
  4:50pm
Joe:

... Irwin is a giant robot planet that eats other planets.
  4:50pm
Cecile:

I never quite liked "Tricky Day". For a guy who stares at his navel a lot, it felt like Townsend was being pretty dismissive of others. RANT OVER.
  4:50pm

Irwin is the Johnny Ramone of WFMU...

The only thing cooler than "Another Tricky Day" from that record would be "Don't Let Go The Coat".

Irwin, of course, is much cooler than either.
  4:55pm
Bad Ronald:

I dig "The Quiet One".
  4:56pm
Joe:

Irwin is the reason for the Pioneer anomaly.

For some reason, I went to the link posted for Lucille Cataldo.
That youtube link wasn't as bad as hair dresser. But on the same page is a clip of her singing Hayuh dresser.... it's great to watch her sing the song, but I had to turn
down the sound- couldn't hear that song repeated in one day. I remember hearing Irwin play it years ago, and hearing it again today was too soon. But the visuals- I could watch anyday.

I've always loved that old Dutch folk song, "He'll Have to Go". You know, the one that starts, "Put your tu-lips a little closer to the phone".
  6:00pm
BObvious:
