Listener comments!

  9:06am
Lou:

rock my morning! awesome.

anyone know of a way to switch back and forth between ED and regular programming...i'm using a windows media player and there's no link to such a stream for the ED broadcast
  9:07am
Raf:

Morning Jason!
  9:10am
Jason:

Hey Raf!! Hey Lou!! Electile Dysfunction listen link is on the front page. I suggest listening to both at the same time
  9:11am
Hatch:

Lou, I believe there's only an MP3 stream for Electile Dysfunction.
  9:17am
JJZ:

Hm. Well, no election webstream for me. Port 8020 not allowed.
  9:19am
Lou:

Daarrrrrr....blasted windows machines!
Is striving for an All-Mac society part of Obama's platform?
  9:19am
annie:

i love you guys, but it's just too crazy for me, this music this morning.. any chance it will morph into something less noisy?
  9:22am
annie:

see now i can hear something good. maybe if i wait five minutes and stop bitching....
  9:22am
kent:

annie, what are you hearing right now?
  9:23am
annie:

i'm on the stream, all i can listen to
  9:23am
JJZ:

You could try hitting Ctrl-U in Windows Media Player and putting http://archivevirt.wfmu.org:8020 in the URL and see if that opens the stream for you, I'm not sure.
  9:25am
kent:

annie, me too. i'm digging jason's show, but bummed i won't be able to catch any election day specials. i was just wondering bc the tunes didn't sound so noisy to me :)
  9:25am
MeGA mAN:

Hey everyone, don't forget to turn your clocks forward an hour today!
  9:25am
Qwerty:

  9:25am
Lou:

JJZ...thanks for the tip for the computer dysfunctionals like me
  9:25am
annie:

i'm chill, i guess i just had lack of sleep last night and the mathemagical wonder of music is hard to hear this am. i like the music.
  9:25am
mEga maN:

stingy d:

BELOCK OBAMA!
  9:54am
Cecile:

Damn, we spent an hour in line at the polls, and we were there 20 minutes before they opened.

Record turnout in our district!
  9:55am
annie:

worth every minute in the long run
  9:56am
Qwerty:

Observing the election from New Zealand. Interesting... Very Interesting.
  9:57am
annie:

what say they?
  9:57am
JJZ:

Suburban Chicago had record turnout too. In 2004 there were about 3 people including me at the time I went, and today there was about 20. Some of them younger people. And the majority of the election judges were young people too.
  9:57am
Koala Bear:

We have the vote!
  9:59am
PMD:

Thankfully I only spent 15 minutes in Virginia. Interesting they had paper ballots here as well as electronic voting.
  10:00am
Doug in DC:

In Fairfax, VA, the longest lines I've seen at the polls, and the longest wait. I got through really quickly though, because my last name was in the P-Z range, and there was an alphabetic imbalance. I used the paper ballot.
  10:00am
annie:

pmd-word up. everyone should ask for a paper ballot
  10:00am
Cecile:

JJZ, yes! on the younger election judges.
A local high school kid was getting trained in as a judge intern as we were voting.
  10:01am
Cecile:

that's what we use in Mpls.
  10:01am
PMD:

You know Doug, that was the same at my station too! What, do only people with names A-L live in Fairfax County?
  10:02am
PMD:

Yes, I used paper. I felt a little paranoid doing it, but felt better also.
  10:03am
Cecile:

LOL! The registrars were saying that the letters always go in runs - all the A-Ls with show up, then all the M-Z, but never the twain shall meet...
  10:04am
annie:

is there any way i can tell what is being played over the airwaves? whilst i listen online?
  10:04am
Doug in DC:

The scanner didn't have good instructions posted. I had to ask if the form went in face-up or face-down.
  10:06am
annie:

oddly enough, there will be those who will not ask for help
  10:07am
Doug in DC:

Hopefully their votes get counted. I voted, I think!
  10:07am
dc pat:

I'm getting dizzy switching back and forth between the web-only stream and Jason's show. I'm going to have to play both at the same time...
  10:09am
Doug in DC:

Is there a 32K stream available for Electile Dysfunction? I can't stream at 128K here at work.
  10:09am
annie:

this reminds me of the april fools broadcast from san francisco.. which show am i actually listening to and which playlist is real?
  10:11am
JJZ:

I just figured all the hooplah would have taken place on the normal stream.
  10:12am
stingy d:

yea if there is a windows fix for this electily dysfunciton i'd liek to check it out too
  10:13am
Cecile:

  10:13am
