Listener comments!

  9:21am Paul Sherratt, UK:

"We've arrived at the most precarious time in this country since the Revolutionary War"

Good grief, Pat Boone hasn't got a new record deal has he ?
  9:26am pat:

man this Balasubramanyam sounds perfect this morning. Just saw Darjeeling Limited
  9:32am Laurie:

Indian disco is the best kind of disco.
  9:33am Paul Sherratt:

But have a thought for the dj who has back announce the names ...
  9:36am Wes:

It's a goooooood morning (as long as I continue to feign interest in my co-workers and pull it off successfully)
  9:40am bob:

More Laxmikant Pyarelal is available at http://thirdfloormusic.blogspot.com/2007/09/laxmikant-pyarelal-karz-1980.html.
  9:45am Doug:

Right you are Bob. Third Floor is a FABULOUS source for Bollywoodiana! Thanks for sharing
  9:53am Parq:

Here's another good source for Give-the Drummer-Someish music of all stripes: http://crudcrud.blogspot.com/
  10:04am Pamela:

Thanks Parq!
  10:40am nh_dave:

Doug you should do an entire show of just your bed music sometime.
  10:48am Parq:

Doug, got a copy of Ned Sublette's "Cowboys are Frequently Secretly" handy?
  10:49am Doug:

nh_dave, I actually did that last year! Here's the link to the playlist/archive:

http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/19852
  10:51am jonathan:

thank you!!!
  10:52am nh_dave:

As usual you are a step ahead of all of us Doug :) Will check it out
  11:09am adam:

as a kentucky listener, i am embarassed. thanks for the candy, though. this is a very nice state, really--but, as Mark Twain said, we are just a little "slow".
  11:12am Greg from DC:

The saddest show I ever saw was Tim Hardin at the Unicorn Coffee house in Boston around 1972-73, It was just Tim and another piano player. He looked pretty strung out, but produced some of the most sublime sad, sad music I have ever heard. It just broke your heart.
  11:18am Kathryn:

Congressional Democrats sold out transgendered people like myself this week ("House Approves Broad Protection for Gay Workers," NY Times, Nov. 8), intentionally slicing the T off the GLBT.
  11:18am cannonball:

wait when was that Pat Boone call from? thats recent?
  11:20am Pete:

Goddamnit, I did not need to see that!
  11:29am Sean Padilla:

This Loretta Lynn song is awesome and hilarious!
  11:33am Sybil:

Niki Hoeky!

You've just made my day - again.
  11:37am Parq:

Wait! Wait! It's after 11 and I'm still getting work done! Oh Lord, I'm going into withdrawal...
  11:40am jonathan:

you have outdone yourself this morn. very pleasing to the fine powder that was once my brain.
  11:42am Doug:

Cannonbal, that Pat Boone call was from earlier this week, in advance of Tuesday's gubenatorial elections in Kentucky. Read all about it here:

http://tinyurl.com/2hvhbr
  11:43am Sloane:

Fascinating. You just described the present weather in Aulander, NC perfectly.
  11:46am jonathan:

pat boone, please leap from the highest point possible into a glass of your own waste.
  11:52am Doug:

No Jonathan,
We have to learn to be tolerant of the intolerant. After all, hateful, vicious bastards are people too.
  11:53am nh_dave:

Not to get all political but I love that the righties of kentucky believe that the biggest threat is more tolerance of people different than ones self. Pandering to that crap is what I hate about politics these days.

I have seen Pat Boone on TBN many times pandering and it is pretty sad.
  6:35am dave:

Hi man love the pogram so eclectic. Now a committed listener and those feeds are great. Greetings from the UK
  8:02am Doug:

Hey UK Dave,
Glad to know you. Most of my listeners are committed, so you're in good company! See you next week.
