' Oliver Edward Nelson (June 4, 1932 – October 28, 1975) was an American jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, arranger, composer, and bandleader. His 1961 Impulse! album The Blues and the Abstract Truth (1961) is regarded as one of the most significant recordings of its era. The centerpiece of the album is the definitive version of Nelson's composition, "Stolen Moments". Other important recordings from the 1960s are the albums More Blues and the Abstract Truth (1964) and Sound Pieces (1966), both also on Impulse!. '

the rest of the laptop is functioning as before. I think it might be the waves program (it's a dell) that oversees the audio output. I'm going to uninstall it and install something else to see if that helps..

I once got into a long argument about Braxton with a coworker. We eventually figured that Toni and Anthony are different persons, which took longer than it should have because neither of us had heard of the "other" Braxton

Hello Stork and swells! I could use a snack after that hike. Hey, Barkeep, how about a Hot Buttered Passaic?*
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:09pm
adamdoesit:

* Hot Buttered Passaic
This one is attributed to Sarah Fedora Burgeonhouse Wells, then of the Buttonhole Bar in San Francisco. Like most great cocktails, it is simple. Unlike all but a few, it is solid, not liquid or gaseous, of state. It is also the first known cocktail that allows the drinker to have their Glen Passaic, and eat it, too.

Hot Buttered Passaic
2oz Glen Passaic
5g or about 1tbsp butter
1/4tsp salt
1tsp white flour
1tsp milk
2 slices white pullman loaf
2 pickled cocktail onions

Set the bread to toast. Meanwhile melt the butter in a saucepan. If using salted butter, omit the salt. When butter begins to foam, whisk in flour, sifting it through a mesh strainer. Whisk in milk and, when mixture thickens, Glen Passaic. Slather the toast with the mixture, place the slathered sides together, and cut on the diagonal, with pickled onions on the side.
