Various artists  Hit Parade Radio home recording   Favoriting   From archive.org: This is a 10 inch acetate home recording of the 1946 Hit Parade. Presumably late 1946, though no date is written on the label. The first side consists of the song "Surrender" and the second is "Linger in my arms a little longer, baby" and about half of the song "Doin' what comes naturally". The second side cuts out halfway through 'Doin' what comes naturally' due to lack of space. Digitized at 78 RPM.

By the way, I just watched Elia Kazan's A Face in the Crowd last night with Andy Griffith and saw Rod Brasfield had a significant role. He was the comedian in the Checkerboard Time shows you aired. I never made the connection until last night.

I don't think that should be necessary: there's a 5 hour gap between Thursday's edition of this show and the next, that should be enough to hold a special
