Dean:

Still get a kick out of Kayak.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Dean!
  1:02pm
Dean:

I had vinyl of their first few albums up through the one past Royal Bed Bouncer. Unloaded them, dangit.
  1:06pm
Dean:

Ton Scherpenzeel went on to join Camel.
  1:09pm
Dean:

I'm always tickled by the fact that there was a Ton Scherpenzeel and a Pim Koopman in Kayak, and a Ton Koopman who conducts Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and performs keyboard recitals. Koopman is one of my favorite classical musicians. He was born in...Zwolle!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm
Jan Turkenburg:

that's right!

Do I?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm

Sorry to hear that, Jan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm

With me eveything is ok. But my best friend's mother is in hospital, with a cerebral infarction
Avatar 1:22pm
worldsworstrecords:

Oh dear... that must be worrying
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm
Jan Turkenburg:

So good that I premix these shows. I could have just let the bed music running if needed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, it is worrying, Darryl and my friend was pretty shaken up, but also needed a rest now, so he cut it relatively short.
Avatar 1:33pm
worldsworstrecords:

The maddest thing. I've just had a message from one of my closest friends telling me that his mother died about 30 minutes ago
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm
Jan Turkenburg:

... I'm speechless...
Avatar 1:35pm
worldsworstrecords:

She had been ill for a long time - dementia - so it's a release in a lot of ways. I really hope you're friend's moher gets better soon
  1:35pm
Dean:

Me, too. I suppose there is a sound statistical explanation for this...coincidence...but still, shocking.

Avatar 1:37pm
