Good Morning Bob, Pete and the rest of youse! I saw a mini Spoonful reunion at the Bitter End a few years ago. Joe Marra R.I.P. (who ran the Night Owl) threw himself a birthday party at the club. John and Steve did a mini-set together! And, John’s voice sounded pretty decent. One of the tragedies of rock and roll is how John’s voice deteriorated over the years. Not 100% sure why. He used to sound great when NRBQ backed him in the ‘80s. I’m pretty sure something happened to his throat (medically speaking). The Lovin’ Spoonful - NYC’s finest!

Hey all, catch some likely not all of this show in real time, will need to finish in the archives.
Never got to see the Spoonful back in the day. I did get to see Jim Kweskin before the Pandemic, Maria/John Muldaur and John Sebastian in the band, Sebastian did some of his hits from the Spoonful. Was a great show.
Avatar 11:10am
Bob Brainen:

Andrew, have you been there?
Avatar 🥁 11:11am
PT:

Jeff: nice show you saw! I'm glad Sebastian's voice had at least somewhat recovered. His throat maladies are kind of a mystery, and were at their worst at the RRHoF induction. A shame, as that was such a high-profile show (and the final show with all 4 members IIRC).
