And I am not going to link to any of the several Little Miss / Baby Miss / Young Miss pageants that are active today. Typical rhetoric: "...was founded for the purpose of inspiring children with the highest ideals of character and conduct, while assisting in the development of a child's self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-respect, developing a positive attitude to reach their fullest ..." The images on that page scare and disgust me so much, need to displace the images in my head to avoid weird nightmares....

i don't know if i've ever actually heard any Ani DiFranco before. it was a name i used to see around a lot. Figuring she was a folkie singer/songwriter type I never investigated, but that was cool. Lots of percussion.
