Only lost power four times. Finally got back home and put two levels of sandbags in front of my door. Have received 5 inches of rain so far, expecting 7 more. Winds right now are 35mph gusts to 55, and tomorrow should be 55mph, gusts to 70... so tired.... good thing Ian decided to head southeast of here (25 miles SE), b/c yesterday the eye was supposed to pass 3 miles to the west...

Ken Vandermark is certainly a giant, certainly pushing boundaries, utterly staking a claim in the history of music. He just happens to be the first example that came to mind. I don't think we're wanting. Nevertheless, I mourn the loss of unique greats like Pharoah Sanders.
