Hi Space Cowboy & Gerry
  6:34pm
Space Cowboy:

Hi mom whig and gerry
  6:52pm
Gerry from Miami:

Sir Orange Peel, not to be impertinent, but why have we heard so little of Andrew Sandoval in recent weeks, either live or on tape? Is he that busy in LA? Don't misunderstand me---I enjoy listening to most of these obscure records(over hallf of what you have played today are by artists most people have never heard of). Keep spinning these sweet 60s sounds and you'll have a lifetime listener! But bring back Andrew once in a while, OK? Love his well-researched retrospectives!
Avatar 6:54pm
Erica:

Hi Gerry. According to Andrew's FB page, this is OP's last fill in show for now. Andrew will most likely be back in September.
  6:56pm
Gerry from Miami:

Cool, Erica! Thanks for the info! BTW, what is the URL for Andrew's web page?
  6:58pm
Gerry from Miami:

Who is singing lead here for Harper's Bizarre? Resembles Micky Dolenz quite a bit, though I know it isn't him. Wasn't Van Dyke Parks in this band or was that the Mojo Men?
Avatar 6:59pm
Orange Peel:

Sir Gerry, the Big Boss has been plotting an anniversary show and perhaps changing the length format for the future. Sir DA had asked no changes be made for awhile, so he has had me step in until he can present a befitting anniversary edition
  7:00pm
Gerry from Miami:

Thanks. OP!. Always glad to hear the latest news and developments.
  7:04pm
uptownjen:

Just heard this Mortimer song on the Beatles Channel last week!
  7:05pm
Gerry from Miami:

Jen, what's the web address of that Beatles channel?
  7:05pm
uptownjen:

A belated hello, Gerry!
  7:07pm
uptownjen:

It’a the Sirius one. I heard it in the car. David Fricke was hosting a show of Apple-related music.
  7:08pm
Gerry from Miami:

I don't subscribe to Sirius, but thanks anyway, Jen!
  7:13pm
Gerry from Miami:

Who has the lead vocal on that Osmond tune? Donny? Maybe Jimmy? The overall sound of the record leans toward an early stage in their recording career. No deep voices there!
  7:15pm
Gerry from Miami:

SIR OP, a favor, perhaps. Is it too much trouble technically to post the year of release for each record? Appreciate it!
Avatar 7:18pm
Orange Peel:

I am so sorry, Sir Gerry. Sir DA the DJ is in control of aggregating the playlist with his Bunny friend.

Thanks, anyway. Can't fight those guys, I have learned.
  7:26pm
Gerry from Miami:

I see the Syndicate of Sound was doing their good-timey best Lovin' Spoonful impersonation there. Much prefer their snarky take on 1966 smash, "Little Girl." "TOO BAD, LITTLE GIRL, IT'S ALL OVER FOR YOU!!"

some of these songs I even LOVE♥
  7:36pm
Gerry from Miami:

This is probably not the kind of music that prompted the Traveling Wilburys to invite Del Shannon to join the band. Alas, like Roy Orbison and George Harrison, Mr. Shannon passed away as well. Would have lived to hear what he might have contributed to that supergroup.
  7:39pm
Gerry from Miami:

Sorry---typo. ....would have LOVED to hear what....
  7:41pm
Gerry from Miami:

Sir OP, not too hard to find records with the word "music" in the title, eh? You could go on all day!!
  7:44pm
Gerry from Miami:

These Will-o-Bees sound pretty good, but it's hard to meet the standards that Mamas Cass and Michelle along with Papas John and Denny set. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, as they say.
  7:49pm
Gerry from Miami:

Loved the Chartbusters' biggest hit, "She's the One."
