	🎸 ♥ 6:19pm Austin Rich: I have a standing desk in my office, but I had to move it, so for the longest time, I couldn't "elevate" the desk, only use it in the lowered position. The other day, I cleaned my office, and cleared enough space around the desk to use it in the standing position. Between that, and my standing table that has by DJ gear on it, I can ACTUALLY do my show standing up, if I want to. I'm thinking about getting the exercise bike in here, so I can do that when I'm listening to Sheenas.

	🎸 ♥ 6:25pm Austin Rich: It's interesting, the source recording for this broadcast has an eerie ghost sound of some other recording in the background. Most likely, the person who was copying these from the original discs was using a tape for the transfer process, that was re-used a number of times.

	🎸 ♥ 7:17pm Austin Rich: So, Korla does backing music during the commercials for Chandu, too, which I cut out of the show when I present it for these presentations. I think I'll do a show where I play all those commercials that I cut out, just for the Korla music.
	🎸 ♥ 7:20pm Austin Rich: This episode gives you the character dynamics pretty quickly, establishes the power Chandu has, and then offers a nice information dump, so you can get a sense of what's happened, and where they are going.
	🎸 ♥ 7:21pm Austin Rich: The good thing about Chandu is that each episode more or less recaps most everything from the previous episodes, so you can sort of pick up what's happening pretty quickly.

	🎸 ♥ 7:34pm Austin Rich: I liked this idea so much, I wrote my own weird sci-fi "Creation" story in college. It wasn't very good, but it was very inspired by this story.
	🎸 ♥ 7:45pm Austin Rich: In the MST3K movie, Crow tires to "dig" his way out of the Satellite of Love. I always thought that was a reference to this story.
	🎸 ♥ 7:49pm Austin Rich: I like this Heinlein twist on the "generation" ship trope, which was already played out by this point. This version of it sort of re-vitalizes the idea in a way that I think really works well.
