I stopped by a neighborhood record store yesterday, Strictly Vinyl. I don't visit it too often, but I'm glad I did. Found Allan Taylor with guys from Fairport for a buck, Loggins & Messina's Finale, also a buck, and the second volume of a series of recordings from a defunct Portland, OR, pizza parlor with a huge pipe organ. Somebody at WFMU played another in the series on Friday. I added it to my mental list and what do you know? Took me two days to find it. The clerk was intrigued, which afforded an opportunity to describe WFMU to her.
