Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51am

@chresti > District Six (Afrikaans Distrik Ses) is a former inner-city residential area in Cape Town, South Africa. Over 60,000 of its inhabitants were forcibly removed during the 1970s by the apartheid regime.

Avatar 🦀 10:57am

I don't have a storage system, @chresti, just a mental list of districts and my preferences among them. The film District 9 is second on the list. I don't really want to say more... some of the districts are not very reputable.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59am
StringOFperils:

The (not so great) South African sci-fi film 'District 9' made me think of it. It does present an interesting metaphor for the Apartheid situation as a programmatic extermination of 'bugs' who have arrived to squat there, with their interstellar ship literally hanging in the air and not going anywhere anytime soon. It's a gratingly stupid film otherwise.
Avatar 🦀 Swag For Life Member 11:00am

LG, yes your mental list, that's what I was wondering about

  11:12am

I saw him with Oswald at Victo, when they performed to open a show Taylor was to headline, but Taylor got stuck at the border. Oswald and Plimley opened for Marilyn Crispell...and then Taylor arrived and completed the show.
