The goodly ranjit and steady handed doctor! Hello!

There was a fairly cinematic scene that accompanied Kashmir in my head back in its day in the 70s, of melodramatically, lurchingly weary men in army fatigues, some with shirts open or shed, marching/stumbling in some slo-mo disorder -- in retreat and/or defeat? who knows? -- -- down a slight downhill sand road in a scrubby landscape familiar to me from a nearby state park. One of the figures --- just one -- was a high school friend of mine. And the filmish look of it was with a darkened tint. Someone wanna 'splain the music-catalyzed specificity of such things?

I think Rob Weisberg did a show a zillion years ago with the original African tunes David Byrne ... uh ... creatively reused for some Talking Heads tunes.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:24pm

I was kind of hoping this was going to be covers of pop songs by Roulette artists. Oh well! There's still time for Shelley's version of "Blue Moon"" with Peter Stampfel.

Sounds like Byrne was thePaul Simon of his generation.
