Hi there OP
Avatar 5:01pm Erica:

Happy Memorial Day to US listeners!
Avatar 5:02pm MOM WHIG:

Hi Erica
Avatar 5:03pm Erica:

Hi Mom Whig.
Avatar 5:03pm MOM WHIG:

Sounds like Mamas & Papas
Avatar 5:05pm Erica:

Avatar 5:06pm MOM WHIG:

Are we doing all NYC tunes
Avatar 5:09pm sw2442:

Hi...Happy Memorial Day everyone...hi Mom and Erica...
Avatar 5:10pm Erica:

Nice of you to tune in SW.
Avatar 5:10pm MOM WHIG:

dw2442 - so happy you made it here - theme seems to be all NYC tunes
Avatar 5:11pm MOM WHIG:

Avatar 5:12pm sw2442:

Yeah Mom...that previous song, The Girl From New York City, is a cover of a Beach Boys song. This song is from my favorite Four Seasons album...The Genuine Imitation Life Gazette.
Avatar 5:14pm MOM WHIG:

sw2442 - I always like "The Boy From New York City" by the Ad Libs
Avatar 5:15pm Erica:

Avatar 5:17pm sw2442:

Yeah Mom...actually, The Girl From New York City was a response song written by Brian Wilson to The Ad-Libs' Boy From New York City. Brian liked The Ad-Libs song and did his own take of the song. There's also that great cover of The Boy From NYC by The Manhattan Transfer.
Avatar 5:19pm Erica:

The Girl From New York City is basically an answer record.
Avatar 5:22pm Erica:

Ugh the neighbors next door are playing Batchata music.
  5:24pm Hell’s Kitchener:

Avatar 5:28pm WLSClark:

Hey Mom, Erica, sw2442, Sir Peel. Just soakin in the sun here at Bryant hotel, Lincoln, Ne. 90 degrees and WINDDDDDDDD!
Avatar 5:29pm sw2442:

Hi WLSClark...
Avatar 5:30pm MOM WHIG:

WLS glad you made it here - too hot for me to venture outside today!
Avatar 5:31pm WLSClark:

Mom, we had 5 minutes of hail and rain this morning and since wind is 40 mph and sun. Mice Mem Day in some ways.
Avatar 5:33pm sw2442:

What's it like there weather wise Mom...here it's around and 80 and, actually, comfortable. Usually So. Cal. Memorial Days' are about low to mid-90's, and sometimes humid.
Avatar 5:36pm MOM WHIG:

`sw2442 - super sunny & 90's - 5 mph breeze
Avatar 5:36pm WLSClark:

We SHOULD have mumid day, but wind is to strong that it is actually decent in shade! Love it.
Avatar 5:37pm WLSClark:

Is Mr Peel here or DA the DJ? Is anyone running this store?
  5:37pm Patrick:

the song, walking down broadway had a part where she sang, "Sidewalks, People" that Journey must have stolen for "Don't Stop Believin". Same line, same melody
Avatar 5:38pm MOM WHIG:

hi there patrick
Avatar 5:38pm WLSClark:

One of Dylan's VERY best!
Avatar 5:38pm MOM WHIG:

Was waiting for Dylan tune
Avatar 5:38pm MOM WHIG:

WLS I agree - BEST
Avatar 5:40pm Erica:

Don't know if Mr Peel is here or DA the DJ is running the show WLS.
  5:41pm Patrick:

Great Line "Why don't you come out once and scream it"
Avatar 5:43pm MOM WHIG:

Erica - not sure who is either - BUT it's playing super tunes.
  5:44pm Patrick:

Mystery DJ!
Avatar 5:46pm WLSClark:

Pretty Crickets song!
  5:47pm Patrick:

As in Buddy Holly's Crickets?
Avatar 5:51pm MOM WHIG:

Finally Simon & Garfunkel
Avatar 5:51pm sw2442:

I'm thinking it's a combo of DA the DJ and the bunny...we've heard nothing from OP on the chat.
Avatar 5:52pm WLSClark:

Patrick, Sonny Curtis Crickets post Buddy, Im pretty sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm Eric R:

the Crickets produced by Bob Montgomery who was the "Bob" of "Buddy and Bob"
Avatar 5:53pm WLSClark:

Maybe we are getting BUNNY PEEL? DA the BUNNY?
Avatar 5:54pm DA the DJ:

Thanks everyone!
Avatar 5:54pm MOM WHIG:

We'll see who is next then - Andrew???
Avatar 5:55pm sw2442:

Oh well, thanks DA the DJ...and Sir Peel...where ever you are...
Avatar 5:56pm Erica:

Thanks for the show!
Avatar 5:57pm WLSClark:

This is NOT Village Stompers' version. WAY too fast!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm Eric R:

don't see a new link at CttS
Avatar 5:59pm WLSClark:

Eric, I dont know why WFMU has so many problems like this lately. So many shows not on time and all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:00pm Eric R:

we can still chat here
Avatar 6:02pm WLSClark:

STILL, I have heard at least 3 shows in last 2 weeks that were half chopped off or not even on, yet the Bunny rolled on. Is no one at the station to see this doesn't happen?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02pm Eric R:

like yesterday with Becky
Avatar 6:04pm WLSClark:

Yeah, 5 word interview and then off. I know it's a holiday, but THAT is when many might get great audiences. I just think that if I were on the air and got dropped and had worked on a special show, I'd be mad. I had a show for 10 years on REAL radio and I cant remember ever having my show not on air. THAT was 40 years ago.
Avatar 6:05pm WLSClark:

Playlist up now even if old show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm Eric R:

a link, anyway
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08pm Eric R:

I think it''s this

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm Eric R:

from 2018. Guess I'll go to the store. See you for bpn
