I took the train out there so I could check out the new railroad museum opening up in the area where the old Erie Railroad turntable is! I also got to bike to Hawk's Nest, Elks-Brox park, and also around Port Jervis and Matamoras, Pa. a little bit. I kept a close eye out for S.A.M. but don't think I saw him this time! Oh yeah, and while I was sitting atop Elks-Brox, a car came through that had a WFMU bumper sticker! Same one I got from the marathon last year. Really too bad that couple wound up not stopping to hang out. I was able to listen a little yesterday on 90.1 as well.

I probably did like roughly 15-20 miles of cycling in total in the Port Jervis area, more in total for the entire day yesterday, @Doug in MP. It was really nice to take the train to Port Jervis and not have an ambitious bike ride planned, to just stay in the more immediate area instead of doing something like the Poconos or Sussex County and High Point. And I'm really so glad I got to Elks-Brox park finally because that really is such a nice spot. I handle the heat well, so that was no issue, though it wasn't all too hot, and tree cover certainly helps with some shade. And now I'll know to look out for S.A.M.'s disguise, so thanks for the heads up, Clay!

I took the train out there so I could check out the new railroad museum opening up in the area where the old Erie Railroad turntable is! I also got to bike to Hawk's Nest, Elks-Brox park, and also around Port Jervis and Matamoras, Pa. a little bit. I kept a close eye out for S.A.M. but don't think I saw him this time! Oh yeah, and while I was sitting atop Elks-Brox, a car came through that had a WFMU bumper sticker! Same one I got from the marathon last year. Really too bad that couple wound up not stopping to hang out. I was able to listen a little yesterday on 90.1 as well.

I probably did like roughly 15-20 miles of cycling in total in the Port Jervis area, more in total for the entire day yesterday, @Doug in MP. It was really nice to take the train to Port Jervis and not have an ambitious bike ride planned, to just stay in the more immediate area instead of doing something like the Poconos or Sussex County and High Point. And I'm really so glad I got to Elks-Brox park finally because that really is such a nice spot. I handle the heat well, so that was no issue, though it wasn't all too hot, and tree cover certainly helps with some shade. And now I'll know to look out for S.A.M.'s disguise, so thanks for the heads up, Clay!
