Saturday May 21 , 2022, Drop In presents “Live At City Gardens” with your host RKO. From 1985-the final night, RKO worked at the club as a bouncer, roadie,and DJ . During that time, he compiled a large collection of Live recordings from this legendary club in Trenton NJ. Many of these recording have never been heard before on the radio. Hear live recordings of 999,New Order, Descendents, Husker Du, The Replacements, Lush, The Minutemen,The Cramps, and even Bo Diddley all from the club that hosted a who’s who of the alternative scene in the 80’s and 90’s. RKO is featured prominently in the book “No Slam Dancing, No Stage Diving, No Spikes” available from DiWulf publishing and also appeared in the movie Riot On The Dancefloor movie directed by Steve Tozzi which you can stream on Amazon Prime.

I once paid the Cramps' tab at a diner in Philly as I was working an all-nighter fixing computers across the street and they rode into town early. They came over to thank me (not my intent AT ALL). Ivy was no-makeup, and civilian clothes so she wasn't *IVY*. But OMG she was SOOOO sweet.

Basically homelesson CapeCod, MA 1st time I Left Home in NewHampshuh. We heard that in Cambridge (NorthBoston) - 'Tommy & the Placemats' were going to be @ the Men's InnSquare Bar. Everybody underground knew that was TheReplacements warming up for a bigger gig soon. We dropped acid & went. *Tiny* place - but a few feet twixt bar & stage. BobStinson wore a dress. They did StrawberryFields in out tripping faces.
