	🎸 ♥ 6:19pm Austin Rich: I quit drinking for a long time, when I first learned how to drive, so I didn't get any DUIs. I would just drink Ginger Ale at shows, and give people rides home afterwards. It was a lot less expensive than drinking. You could be right, Phillippe.

	🎸 ♥ 6:39pm Austin Rich: We are almost to the half-way point of the run of Scarlett Queen episodes. We'll probably run out around October. I intend to run some horror and then holiday shows for the end of the year, but we should probably start considering what to play next. Mr. Fab has voted for some comedy. (I think you voted for some Marx Brothers or something?) Any other suggestions.
	🎸 ♥ 6:41pm Austin Rich: I think this is the first overt reference to actual pirate stories in this radio show, which makes sense. I'm sure that most sailors were familiar with Robert Louis Stevenson work.

	🎸 ♥ 6:44pm Austin Rich: Phil's resistance to the notion of marriage speaks to the homoerotic subtext of so much of this show. Red and and Phil often court the same girl, and then get drunk together afterwards. Phil seems interested in women, but can't commit to anyone by Red. I think the gay sailor / pirate trope is pretty well known now, and I don't think the author intended Phil to sound as queer as he does. But There's a lot of stories that seem to indicate that Phil is only temporarily interested in women, and more often wants to hang out with men.

Red and and Phil often court the same girl, and then get drunk together afterwards. Phil seems interested in women, but can't commit to anyone by Red. I think the gay sailor / pirate trope is pretty well known now, and I don't think the author intended Phil to sound as queer as he does. But There's a lot of stories that seem to indicate that Phil is only temporarily interested in women, and more often wants to hang out with men.
