Homestarrunner was some animated flash cartoons from the early 2000's. Since they did a lot of jokes about music, it made the rounds a lot when I was Program Director at KPSU.

@Austin Rich: I read an unfavorable review just this morning, and roundly ignored it, because clearly they weren't a fan of the last one. Which made me wonder, "What did you expect, ya dumbass, from this new edition?"

The reviewer enjoyed Knives Out, which I thought was entertaining, but not as richly entertaining as the last Poirot film. Mind you, all I can see is David Suchet, but--Branaugh is wonderful too. Oh, and Albert Finney.

The thing I like about modern culture, re: missing things, @Sarcofiguy: I finally realized that new things being made now are NOT going anywhere, and I can watching them at any time.

Still haven't seen Breaking Bad or Mad Men. But They will be there, any time I'm ready. And it seems like there will always be someone ready to talk about them, when I do.

I guess part of it comes from growing up on comics. There's always some new version of Green Lantern being written. But the old stories are still there, they still happened. But there's new stuff, too.

I did see that GL movie, which was not my fave but wasn't bad, really. I have a feeling that in a bit, when they get the funds to do another one, they will re-invent it again with the younger guy, Kyle Rayner. But I think that movie gets a lot of negative press for the wrong reasons. It's not great, but compared to some of the other superhero movies we've gotten since? It's not bad...
