Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm
Passaic River Blues:

@Analog Nights & Tim: I am by no means a Sabbath fan apart from a smattering of songs, but I hear both of you. There are some BS tracks have qualities that lend themselves to serving as something like jazz standards, compositions that you have to listen to no matter how many times you've heard the original or covered by others. I think "Planet Caravan" is one of those songs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm
Handy Haversack:

Back! Digging the sounds.
Avatar 1:24pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Tony Iommi loved Django Reinhardt - Ozzy loved TheBeatles & Soul ...Sabbath's fast mode tended towards Thuh Boogie, really... It's not so surprising - altho' it is as they were the point HardRawk really became fully Metal in every considerable aspect. But Metal also shares a lot with Classical Music... Charles Bradley's cover of Changes of course comes to mind. I think that Planet Caravan likewise practically improves on the original... Yeah Zep never entered my heart somehow - but Sabbath just grew & grew in significance for me - not least of which while genres like StonerMetal being about them specifically, as much as anything...

Useless datum: I am a bird fiend and I noticed that the cover of the new Flower-Corsano record "The Halcyon" is a painting of a kingfisher. So, the title reference is likely to the mythic bird and not a more general comment on nostalgia and a look-backward, or maybe it's both.

yah.. I was really fortunate to see a long series of performances during the summer. Almost all from Toronto, Montreal.. and eventually a few from New York. I am hoping to make it to Victoriaville this year.

@Bobboy.. I did have tickets to see them in April 2020
