@DJBH Yeah, I have the feeling that there's gonna be a brief but strict lockdown post-Xmas again. My friend is a teacher up in the BX. She had to cover for a teacher who was out and was told he was out with COVID. BUT the school wouldn't say WHICH teachers had COVID. So she was teaching a class full of exposed kids. I got a text from her this AM--two more of her colleagues are out. BUT they made her come in even though she was exposed...to cover classes for those two teachers. It makes zero sense. In the meantime, the students have no idea.

And one of my Mom's best friends - a friend of the family who is in his mid-80's--reported that his daughter's ENTIRE FAMILY has COVID. ALL BREAKTHROUGH cases. His 17-year-old grandson came thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis close to needing to go to the hospital.

@Michael yep. Another friend of mine is a librarian in Manhattan in a school. Same shit. She's disabled and had to fight to get the elevator in her school repaired as an accommodation--library on 3rd floor and she needs either a wheelchair or walker on some days, a cane if it's a "good" day.
