I feel the same about Shawn Phillips, Gerry. I have quite a few and love the music. He just fell under the radar, although I do remember hearing him played occasionally on WNEW-FM in NYC.

My recollection is that Shawn Phillips was actually promoted pretty heavily by A&M; I'm not sure his failure to make it big was the record company's fault. (But my memory is not altogether reliable. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will tell me.)

God, did I love Curved Air!. Never saw them live, but I did have the pleasure of seeing Renaissance in Ithaca, NewYork, in 1977. Similar approach and a lovely sonic AND visual experience. There was even a revolving mirror ball installed in the ceiling!

Gerry, we seem to like a lot of the same ensembles from the'70's. I had hoped to see Curved Air when the were to tour the US with Renaissance a few years ago. They unfortunately had to cancel due to Sonja's health. DOn't know if they'll ever be back here, which makes me sad.
