Just got back from a long hour walk from ShopRite, normally it would have been 45 minutes, but for carrying a bunch of grocery bags that weighed approximately 20 to 25 lbs per handful of bags I had to keep stopping every so often to set them down to let the blood flow back into my hands. hyperdose: thanks for your empathy, but it's not the walking, it's the walking with carrying heavy bags that gets you. I mean they're not so heavy to carry for a short distance, but when you're walking miles they start to get heavier, then the loop handles cut into the palms of your hands that cuts the blood flow off and my hands go numb. And why would you stuff your backpack with heavy breakables items.

@Kpx I like to carry the heaviest weight on my back. I have broad shoulders so it makes the weight distribution easier. Totally hear you with the bag handles. If I come across a better way I'll let ya know!

michael z:

This Saint Etienne song is magnificent. So much good new music today.
  5:09pm
Jocelyn:

You know who would be good to have back sometime to talk about life things, aging? Donna Loren
  5:10pm
Kpx:

Hyperdose: I'm not questioning the weight being put on your back, it makes perfect sense of course to do that, I was just wondering about why the breakable items

djsheilab:

Jocelyn—Wow, yes. Absolutely! Great suggestion. I'll have to ask the getting older/ intergenerational relationships question in future interviews as well.

I've been wanting to play this new Metallica covers album SO BADLY, but all the versions I'd heard had been terrible. Until this one! MAGIC!

Jocelyn:

I have friendships with women in their seventies, eighties, nineties. The twenties are hard because im a communicator. I want to have conversations without screens, texting.
  5:17pm
Beep Boop:

@Kpx- I'm sure there's an equivocation here, but yeah, was just going to circle back and say, "but I at those dumb and misled dipshits with their breakables proudly raised above their heads, and 'empathy' IS about the last word I'd use."
  5:17pm
Cooh John:

Another great show and transcendent interview, Sheila. 💓

One of my big favorites from Sandie Shaw. ty for playing.

Jett—My pleasure! Sandie Shaw is an instant mood lifter.

@Kpx That's just a preventative measure. The backpack is padded. As you know, bags swing when you walk with them. Wouldn't want to break a jar of olives on a pole or whack a passing biker with it.
  5:25pm
Jett:

So true! @DjSheilaB Of course your show always manages to lift my mood. I'm so thankful for you!
