	♥ 1:18pm tim from washington: Yeah, I remember the Duane and Dea Atlantic Starr duet clearly. Duane and Dea improvised the lyrics and shared a lot of love for each other. At that time in my life I was in a crappy relationship, didn't have a good model of healthy family relationships and was drinking way too much. It was touching to hear Duane and Dea share so much love for each other. I'm in a much better space relationship and family wise I still think about that radio moment with fondness.

The irony was that we lived in an urban area of Westchester County, NY and were poor ourselves. Best we could do was send hand-me-downs.

Both sets of grandparents on the Louisiana side and my parents had M.A.'s!! My Jamaican Grandfather was a Clinical Psychologist and my Uncle Derrick was teen idol..LOL!

	2:49pm ShelbyG: @dreamy: Hmm. Omaha is a diverse city with surprisingly good music, great food, a world class zoo. It’s a sprawl. It’s wide open. It’s hot af when it’s hot. Cold af when cold. Nebraskans sorta love/hate tornadoes & thunderstorms. Cicadas are super loud in NE. I swear they chirp in cycles of 26, really. The roads are wide & straight. Growing up there, I find the wide open comforting. I think it’s why Nebraskans are so generous with their friendliness. And not all Nebraskans have milked a cow, nor are they uber-religious. It’s beautiful.

At that time in my life I was in a crappy relationship, didn't have a good model of healthy family relationships and was drinking way too much. It was touching to hear Duane and Dea share so much love for each other. I'm in a much better space relationship and family wise I still think about that radio moment with fondness.

Nebraskans sorta love/hate tornadoes & thunderstorms. Cicadas are super loud in NE. I swear they chirp in cycles of 26, really. The roads are wide & straight. Growing up there, I find the wide open comforting. I think it’s why Nebraskans are so generous with their friendliness. And not all Nebraskans have milked a cow, nor are they uber-religious. It’s beautiful.
