Thanks everyone. It was the price I had to pay to visit my parents in France. But like a lot of the government's handling of the pandemic, it's full of inconsistancies and contradictions. Also I had to fork out £270 ($380) on tests. This country is a bloody rip-off!

@Baba@12:31: I was told that's because phase is how we locate sound, so tiny differences can make one dizzy. Sound engineers have amazing hears, I once saw a guy step into a room with 8 speakers and immediately point to one saying in was plugged wrong and out of phase
