  2:47pm Gerry from Miami:

May I interject in your conversation, ladies, to say how ecstatic I am that Bunny got my request right on the nose this time. "White Bird" by It's a Beautiful Day is one of my all-time faves. My fellow soldiers and I listened to their first album every night while serving in Vietnam, 1970-71.

Betsy and Kim, most of the time, you need to get your request in during the first half hour of a given hour of play. But go ahead and try again next hour!

Gerry from Miami, great request of a beautiful soulful song, and whenever I hear it,… it stops me in my tracks! Thanks for all that you did and sacrificed for also,… it was a tough time in our history indeed.
  2:53pm Gerry from Miami:

Doing fine, Angie. Just trying to "grow old gracefully." Yes, war is tough, but I did what was asked of me and am damn proud of it!

Hi to Dr. Jobygaxx
  3:08pm Gerry from Miami:

@ Kim Reynolds. Bunny goes to those "Nuggets" albums quite a lot for somewhat obscure garage band/psychedelic singles from that era. The song "Romeo and Juliet" was actually a national hit by the Reflections. Mike's Messengers' version is a cover.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm Kim Reynolds:

I've noticed that. I also listen to Dave the Spazz and he pulls things out from under the carpet and it's great.

  3:35pm Gerry from Miami:

Quite a few bands liked to cover the fabulous Kinks. If this were a little slower, it could have passed as a Vanilla Fudge arrangement.
  3:39pm Gerry from Miami:

Loved that demo of "Love is Only Sleeping." They gave that one to the Monkees. Based in this recording, I'm surprised that Barry and Cynthia didn't pursue a recording career. They sure were terrific songwriters!
  3:50pm Gerry from Miami:

Some of these vintage celebrity promos are really good. Bunny has a carload from Coca Cola, but I especially love the one he just played, featuring the late, great Levi Stubbs of the Four Tops, shilling for Duncan Hines cake mixes.

last night was a disaster. Out for a walk. You know how long it took for me to get the first shot. My neighbor, Jay, is saying how glad he is that I got it, then says the 2nd one is bad. Not what I wanted to hear. And he started to tell me all about it. "I don't want to hear it, Jay". And he says "ok, but what happened to me was..." and he wouldn't stop!! I had to flee (continued)
