Yeah man this is Good Medicine right now.
  8:11pm JtotheK:

Remind me - what is the unit of measure conversion for bushel >>> shebang ???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm Mr. Fine Wine:

Depends on the person. I happen to have bushels and bushels of shebang.
  8:12pm Sheri:

Every shebang contains a whole bushel, but not every bushel contains the whole shebang?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14pm Matt from New Orleans:

That Juggy Murray on this track
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15pm Matt from New Orleans:

?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15pm Mr. Fine Wine:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm DjLorraine:

This is where MFW spins that soul
Avatar 8:17pm Billy Jam:

this record is incredible
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm Mr. Fine Wine:

And, Matt, to answer an earlier question of yours, no, not back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm Mr. Fine Wine:

Hey, DJs Lorraine and Billy Jam!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm Matt from New Orleans:

Embracing technology. I’m impressed Mr Fine Wine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm Mr. Fine Wine:

Only the most rudimentary technology.
  8:27pm Mr C:

Johnny wrote songs for the man, TD...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm Mr. Fine Wine:

Including If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:33pm Matt from New Orleans:

I bought a CD comp of Johnny Moore years ago so revisiting it. I have it ripped somewhere but haven’t listened to it in years.
  8:34pm Oocho:

hey there !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm Mr. Fine Wine:

Heyo, Oocho!
  8:38pm Oocho:

So, no Bill Watts tonight then ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm Mr. Fine Wine:

Ha, NC! You'll have to wait. And I'll have to wait.
Avatar 8:44pm Ken in Tokyo:

Outstanding set!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:46pm Mr. Fine Wine:

We can both thank Johnny Moore for that, Ken!
Avatar 8:48pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Interesting he's on different labels - but all the Arrangements & Productions sound - highly developed like the Horns & Strings here - but still organic - not precise to the point of sterility. Like a smaller budget than Motown - but working for him! If that makes any sense to the Soul Intelligentsia...
  8:50pm Oocho:

Love that one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm Will the Sound Guy:

Soulful and smooth MFW is killin it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm ultradamno:

Definitely an eye-opening set, I agree.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm ultradamno:

Even cut through the neighbor's lawnmower
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm Mr. Fine Wine:

Makes total sense, RRN63, and I agree.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm coelacanth∅:

i'm inclined to agree, and cop to not knowing much by Mr. Moore before
  8:53pm Zinn The Mood:

First thing I thought of also was Monkey Man. Wouldn’t be the first time the Stones lifted something and took the credit. Wasn’t Wild Horses Graham Parsons’?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53pm coelacanth∅:

(agree with that he should be better known that is)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Mr. Fine Wine. Heck of a show tonight!
  8:55pm Sheri:

Great collection of tunes tonight MFW, Thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm Matt from New Orleans:

Thanks MFW. Very nice to revisit Johnny Moore.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm Mr. Fine Wine:

Thanks for all the comments, everybody!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm coelacanth∅:

discogs says the Johnny Moore song is 1968, which places it before monkey man.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm little joe:

TY MFW!
  8:58pm steve from gberg:

came out in '68, I think it was before Monkey Man which was recorded in '69...
  8:58pm JtotheK:

Thanks Mr Fine Wine! Cheers everyone!
Avatar 8:58pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

TY As Ever MFW
  8:58pm Oocho:

Tasty set, merci !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:58pm Mr. Fine Wine:

I mean...they're too similar for it to be a coincidence, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm chresti:

Thanks Mr. FW!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm ultradamno:

Definitely some monkey business.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm DjLorraine:

Thanks so much
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm radioronan:

Thanks Mr. Fine Wine!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks Mr.FW!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm coelacanth∅:

haha, what ultra d said!
  2:52pm martin webb:

an awesome tribute to the great Johnny Moore - & in reply to you not recalling the other name for the "soul over easy" track it was the SONS OF MOSES "soul symphony" on Le Cam
  9:01am martin webb:

they sound identical to me, I made an error within my my memory the Sons of Moses track originally came out on Coral in the US, not Le Cam (that was the Hammond Brothers in 1973), Sons of Moses, was associated with Moses Dillard, of Joshua & Moses Dillard, here is the info: https://www.discogs.com/The-Sons-Of-Moses-Soul-Symphony-Fatback/release/2189113
