Avatar 12:16pm Бумажный космонавт:

stelletje vrolijke babbelaars, die jannen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Jan Turkenburg:

thanks MrF I'll relay that to Jan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, PK and we can go on and on and on ...
Avatar 12:17pm Бумажный космонавт:

I say let's try a couple of years without a government, the Belgians also managed to do that successfully.
Avatar 12:18pm Бумажный космонавт:

Can't be any worse than at the moment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm Jan Turkenburg:

You can go make coffee and do the dishes for another 10 minutes :-)
Avatar 12:22pm Бумажный космонавт:

He also said he wanted *MY* province (Groningen) to be the province to become *his* province, as in completely filled with forum- followers, the utter scumf*ck.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm Jan Turkenburg:

Well, he is probably too insane to be a menace on his own, but he is backed up by dangerous people.
Avatar 12:28pm Feldpausch:

Good morning Jan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Adam!
Avatar 12:30pm Бумажный космонавт:

Avatar 12:30pm Бумажный космонавт:

Good evening, Adam!
Avatar 12:31pm Mr Fab:

Hmm, what ARE some good songs about magicians?
Avatar 12:32pm Бумажный космонавт:

Claw Boys Claw - Mad Magician
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm Jan Turkenburg:

I reckon Black Magic Woman and Pin ball Wizzard don't count.
Avatar 12:33pm Feldpausch:

Hello Paper Kos!
Avatar 12:34pm Бумажный космонавт:

Isn't a wizard a "real'" magic person and a magician a trickster, so to say?
Avatar 12:35pm Бумажный космонавт:

Avatar 12:35pm Otis:

Eno's "Energy fools the Magician" from before and after
Avatar 12:36pm Бумажный космонавт:

hahahaha! he sang pee-pee!
Avatar 12:36pm Mr Fab:

Ha, i thought of that one too, otis
Avatar 12:38pm Otis:

Of course you did Fab, ha! Nice one + amazing album.
Avatar 12:39pm Otis:

I have a Mystic Moods' Erogenous album with a vocal song, 'The Magician' which is super smooth, magic time.
Avatar 12:42pm Otis:

Fun comp! 50/50 was produced/released by Jon Nelson of Some Assembly Required. 50 fifty-second tracks - www.discogs.com...
Avatar 12:44pm Бумажный космонавт:

Today's show has a high Ronflonflon gehalte.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar 12:46pm Бумажный космонавт:

Maybe it's time for a Jacqueline van Benthem! (-;
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm Jan Turkenburg:

Ah, thank you Otis, as you've heard I was completely ignorant to that fact.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Jan Turkenburg:

PK, do you have her number?
Avatar 12:48pm Feldpausch:

Agreed about Spotify... it's one more resource in the mix that will never replace other media, but complements for sure. Without record stores for a year I've focused on Bandcamp and Discogs purchases (and supporting Sheena's)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, f.i. stumble upon an artist you've never heard before on spotify and then looking on discogs a.o. to discover the complete discography.
Avatar 12:53pm Бумажный космонавт:

I have never used spotify, but I haven't got a smartphone either. I like to actually have my music in my house and/or on a harddisk. Call me old-fashioned. maybe I am.
Avatar 12:54pm Бумажный космонавт:

For music while travelling I use my good old 128Gb Ipod classic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hey, another smartphone refuser!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm Jan Turkenburg:

I always ask myself, do I actually need that? No, I don't need to be online 24hrs a day, but I have an endless need for more music!
Avatar 12:57pm Бумажный космонавт:

Not just because the useless heap of crap one can put on a smartphone and the abundance of connectivity it has (which I hate) but I also always have trouble with those touch screens.
Avatar 1:01pm Бумажный космонавт:

That was radical.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm Jan Turkenburg:

yea... I want to experiment more with this show. It has been the same for too long now.
Avatar 1:04pm Бумажный космонавт:

Avatar 1:07pm Бумажный космонавт:

Bill Bailey is great.
Avatar 1:08pm Feldpausch:

Paper Kos, I still have my second-gen iPod with the music I had on it in 2005. Still works. It's a fun time-capsule. And I have an old iPod Touch I still use regularly, and an iPod mini with all my Alan Watts recordings
Avatar 1:10pm Бумажный космонавт:

I still want a 6Gb iPod Mini for in my car. (and yank out the harddrive and replace it with a 64 Gb SD card.) I love iPods.
Avatar 1:11pm Mr Fab:

That's amazing, Feldpausch. iPods were pretty much programmed to self-destruct after a year or two. Mine certainly did. Yours miraculously survived Apples' planned-obsolescence strategy.
Avatar 1:22pm Бумажный космонавт:

It all depends on the battery, Mr. Fab. In earlier models they still used rigid blocks, later they used flexible packages that could bulge and disrupt other components likt the screen. Especially in iPod minis and nanos.
Avatar 1:23pm Feldpausch:

Mr Fab, I am amazed they've lasted. The iPod Touch has video so I load it with ripped video and take it on airplanes
Avatar 1:24pm Otis:

Enjoying more De Fabriek Jan. Takk et Merci!
Avatar 1:24pm Бумажный космонавт:

I still have an original 30 Gb 5th Gen iPod classic which works great. Must be 15 years old now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Jan Turkenburg:

thanks Otis!
Avatar 1:28pm Otis:

Avatar 1:30pm Mr Fab:

Wow, haven't heard this in ages. Loved this back in the day.
Avatar 1:34pm Бумажный космонавт:

I sometimes wish I could sound like this i real life. Just to mess with people.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm theia:

hello ( a little late to the show )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi theia, well there is a Dutch saying that goes like: "you've fallen with your nose right in the butter!"
Avatar 1:40pm Бумажный космонавт:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm theia:

Avatar 1:46pm Бумажный космонавт:

this song sounds a little like Wim Mertens got completely berserk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm Jan Turkenburg:

Wim Mertens! Yes!
Avatar 1:54pm Бумажный космонавт:

Avatar 1:58pm Feldpausch:

Thanks, Jan!
Avatar 1:58pm Mr Fab:

Thanks to your past, present and future selves for your shows, whenever they may be.
Avatar 1:59pm Бумажный космонавт:

Avatar 2:00pm Otis:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm theia:

Avatar 2:01pm Otis:

And the Jean Jacques musical Toons!
Avatar 6:19pm Feldpausch:

Jan, that conversation was certainly worth a listen, at the top of the show
