I got into TP as a teen via reruns in the late '90s, and used to drag my home-taped episodes to friends' houses and make them watch it. It's been really interesting watching it spread among people my age and younger as it's been released on DVD and streaming-- at the time, NO ONE I knew had ever heard of it.

That makes sense. When I lived in NYC the only times I would go to NJ were for shows at Maxwell's, and that was a hike from the PATH.
FMU really is right there across the river, though.
Now that I live in South Carolina and get back to NYC as much as possible it doesn't really feel that far away. Two hour flight; no sweat.
